Experience is something that matter the most.

On One Hand Pakistani air force has favourable kills against Israel,India and russia in open combat followed by kills against many top notch aircrafts like eurofighter in air exercises. While as per history iran has only engaged in air warfare against iraq.Which standard is known around the world and nothing when compared with israel, russia or india

.
When were these individual long range missile types manufactured and what are their respective shelf lives

Iran manufactures all its air to air missiles and their shelf life should be standard like the the foreign ones.

Qaher 313 or much less design on papers? Please. I dont wanna bicker but keep nationalism aside and stop being hurt. This is a mature discussion. Saeqah 5th Generation? Are you sure this 3rd generation plane is 5th Gen? What Radar does it use? What are it's missile system? How many are built? Saeqah in the picture was just a modified twin tailed F-5. Not your own indigenous design.

Please Qaher is not a reality, you guys do not have an engine to support it. You guys do not have the Radar absorption technology nor do you guys have the weapon system. Please dont bring this topic into further disrepute like this hamam10 guy does.

Fact is IRIAF is weak to say the least compared to PAF. End of.

Aero need higher res for my background :D

Sir, you are the one who seems to be hurt and too nationalistic, this is indeed a mature discussion, so please show a bit of maturity in your discussion by bringing up general facts, not by just bashing everything not corresponding to your own opinion of things.
We are talking about the 5th generation of Saeqa not as a 5th generation plane, it might be a 4th generation plane since the Iranian Generals say that it competes with the F-18 and has tested stealth capabilities on top of that.
It takes a lot of expertise to modify an airplane design and still have it fly, or better yet, have it fly and behave better.

There are different threads on the Qaher-313 where you can find different answers to your comments for engine, avionics and so on. When the President of a respected nation comes on International media to introduce a Fighter plane, that is no joke, it should be taken at face value. Iran is no banana republic as you seem to think. I am not An Iranian National, just an objective person.
Both Iran and Pakistan are dear to me as nations, so I do not find it relevant to compare the two air forces, since we do not know much about the Iranian one apart from some speculations here and there, while the Pakistani air force is well publicised for its quality of airplanes as well as their pilots.

:) :) :)

that would be my final reply to this thread
Iran has good air defence but bad aircrafts. Not saying Iranian pilots are bad, they are 3rd best in M.E. after Israel and Turkey. But good pilots are no use when equipment is poor. No bias views.

.
so iran doesnt have any credible BVRs?
Russians sold them R-27s. And they adapted F-14th with them:

Hey Iranians,

What bullshittry is this? You SERIOUSLY believe that IRAF can stand against PAF?

60+ F-16s armed with AIM-120Cs, 50+ JF-17 armed with SD-10Bs, supported by AWACS and dedicated electronic support...

What does Iran bring to the table?

Iran might have better air-defense..or better surveillance radars...but in air-to-air engagements, PAF will eat IRAF alive

@haman10

Look at previous records...

PAF has defeated Indian Air Force is all previous wars. Defeated them decisively in the air war 1965 (1 to 6 kill ratio!!!). PAF shot down ~ 20 Russian and Israeli fighter jets on multiple independent occasions over different skies---while losing 0 of their own in the process. All of this is well-recorded and accepted by all sides (Indians, Israelis, Russians etc)..

Then during exercises, PAF F-16s shot down U.K airforce's Eurofighters in dog fights (want a British source to confirm this? I have that, too)...PAF JF-17s shot down Chinese Flankers (Su-30s--One of the TOP dog fighter of the world) in 2 out of 3 engagements during exercises over China. JF-17 isn't even in the same league yet PAF was able to achieve victory over much superior Su-30 flanker.

PAF fighter pilots regularly train with NATO forces, China, Turkey, Saudi Arabia..and have completed the toughest air exercises---The Red Flag and The Green Flag.

Where does IRAF stand?

To be honest, PAF is one of the most ferociously lethal fighting machine in the skies. Give respect where respect is due. Don't engage in useless arguments.

Even my air force tells me a lot of good things about PAF.

Iran was offered the JH-7A and the BVR-capable J-8IIM but the West started a lot of political attacks and cancelled it.

Iran was also offered the J-10A according to some rumors, but those were unfounded.

that would be my final reply to this thread
You have nothing left to say, You have lost this. PAF is way ahead of IRIAF, even our mirages are newer than your newest planes, they are overhauled completely, Have been added with Air refueling capability at PAC. They have thousands of hours of experience and scores.

Which your airforce can only dream about.

Come up with something significant besides trolling and denying facts in name of blind nationalism.

Iran is ahead of Pakistan, they have homemade fifth generation stealth jet Qaher-313 and they sent a monkey to space lol

Iran's New 'Super' Stealth Fighter Jet Is Totally Fake

It's a made-in-Iran, "super advanced," radar "evading" military jet, prepared to unleash hell upon the regime's many enemies. "State-of-the-art technologies," Iran claimed! "Modern defense achievements," too! Only there's now one major problem: Aviation experts say this plane can't even fly.

Iran's defense minister unveiled the Qahar 313 to much fanfare on the anniversary of the 1979 Islamic revolution this weekend, including this majestic television spot broadcast on the state news agency:

So it's basically the Beyoncé of fighter jets — a glorious achievement combining beauty and skill, fierceness and modern domination. Except here's why the Qahar 313 is more inauguration lip-sync than Super Bowl halftime show:

The cockpit is too small.

932874_orig.jpg

And here's one more shot with a pilot:

130204_Q-313clownfighter_.jpg

That seat is tiny. As The Aviationist's David Cenciotti points out , the "cockpit seems to be too small, to such an extent a normal pilot doesn’t properly fit in the ejection seat. Have you ever seen a pilot with his knees above the side borders of the cockpit and his helmet well beyond the ejection seat’s head pad?" Granted, our knowledge of fighter-plane ejection primarily comes from scenes out of Top Gun, but Cenciotti's point makes sense. The only possible explanation for this could be if Iran was raising an army of smaller than average fighter-jet pilots, but that's as ridiculous as this plane actually working.

The whole thing is pretty small.

Size matters when it comes to planes. As Foreign Policy's John Reed points out, a jet this tiny can't possibly carry the equipment needed to evade radar. Reed writes:

The jet is so small it looks like the man is sitting in a clown car, er, clown fighter. It's seriously unlikely that such an aircraft has room to carry the avionics, radars, electronic countermeasures, heat masking gear, and, most importantly for a fighter, the weapons that make modern stealth jets effective.

There's no nozzle.

Engine nozzles are important if you want to fly things or use instruments like afterburners. The "remove this tag before flight" note that the Quaher 313 is sporting doesn't exactly add up, either.

Q3131_.jpg

It looks like it's made out of plastic.

"Overall, the plane seems to lack the characteristic rivets, bolts all aircraft, including stealthy ones, feature. Images released so far show it as a plastic-made aircraft,"writes Cenciotti.

And Iran has totally done this before.

While the jury is still out on the fakeness of Iran's alleged space monkey, it was just in late November that Iran told the world they had another "super advanced" aircraft, a super-duper awesome drone. It wasn't long after they "debuted" the drone that we found out it was a mere Photoshop job. So fibbing about its wondrous aeronautical advances is something that Iranian military officials are used to doing.

If you'd like to get more specifics on why the Qaher can't actually fly (stuff like air compression meters awaits) head on over to The Avationist But he and Reed do point out that perhaps this is a drone or a mock-up, which could totally be true. "Still the aircraft, manned or unmanned, as displayed on Feb. 2 will hardly take to the air unless extensive modifications are made," writes Cenciotti. Or, you know, Iran gets its hands on the latest edition of Final Cut Pro.

Please enlighten us about Iranian lies, since we are all seeking the truth.
You come up with old arguments about the Qaher and the Iranian drones, for the latters you will find many videos on the net showing them in flight. For the Qaher-313 you should read some truth in the other threads concerning it.

For this thread , PAF is known to be a mighty air-force and the high quality of its pilots, but do not underestimate IRAF since no one know much about it; most articles still talk about the 70's and 80's, we are 2014 and Iran has come a long way in its overall achievements.
Iran has air-fulling capabilities, that alone should give you a hint of its sophistication.

.
PAF has defeated Indian Air Force is all previous wars.

What defeated what in all previous war????????

In 1971, In Later part of war PAF refused to even face off Indian Air force and retreated to Airfields in the Interior.

Ground attack wing of Indian Airforce massacred a whole Tank Army of Pakistan in battle of longewala and Pakistan Air Force was too scared to come to rescue of their comrades.

.
reached the conclusion ? where ?
the thread was blocked when some people didnt like the results of step by step comparison ! the first step got them thinking .....

vintage Air defences ? are they less sophisticated than crotale of pakistan ?

our vintage indigenous system :
pakistans modern , almighty air defence :

=============================

in any manner , what ever makes you happy .....

facts are facts and they dont change by posts from some fanboys (no offence )

When you make fun of our air defense system why do you forget this:

Spada 2000 Air Defence Missile System - Army Technology

Also do read more on our air defense network though being junk according to your standards was able to shot down Indian migs during Kargil war. Here
Anza (missile) - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

So again where has Iran achieved something similar. Just because you can showcase something, does not make it real or effective.
