Iran's strategic port offer to help India bypass Pakistan

Pakistan route is important for India to go to Afghanistan. I am sure India would not like Oil, Gas and Minerals that are life line of India's economy to transit through Pakistan. It is like giving blank check to Pakistan.
TAPI is already agreed upon by India. In fact India is pushing this project to be completed in time.

Correct. India if Pakistan agrees has no issues with oil and goods passing through Pakistan to India. It's more economical. In the absence of such an option it is forced to go for expensive alternatives.

More the trade b/w India and Pakistan lesser is the chance of mischief.

The quantum gas & oil that was allocated to pass to India through IPI is huge as compared to TAPI. Even if gas from TAPI is stopped by Pakistan, the adverse affect on Indian economy is not much, unlike that from Iran that supplies 10% of energy needs of India.

IPI? Iran-Pakistan-India?

Give us kashmir we will give you route to Afghanistan.

.
Yes...Iran fulfills 10% of India's energy needs.
India has to trust Pakistan, then. What choice do you have left. Other routes are expensive. Good going this might desolve some tensions. So will TAPI.
Pakistan-Iran pipeline is also very important for Pakistan.

I guess India will agree for TAPI pipeline, but Iran Pakistan pipeline will stop at Pakistan. India will prefer to get Oil and Gas from Iran through shipping routes. And Iran is not too faraway from India.

Is possible. Let's wait and see.

Iran has the second biggest gas reserves in the world, I do not think there is a need for TAPI as having 2 pipelines is quite costly, unless China might join in the project that way transit fees can be charged.

But right now Oil prices are so low! it's time to make a strategic reserve.
