sanctions are hurting common people in Iran and hurting/isolating the economy but will they cause any paradigm shift? I think they are counter-productive actually.

No you do not. You do not have the American permission to do that. Besides, you have no technological foundation to build any nukes. Nukes are high tech machines not just candies. All countries who have got them have high tech industries which have worked for decades to build them. Saudi Arabia can not do that.
