On April 15, U.S. Naval Forces Central Command released footage of an Iranian Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps Navy (IRGCN) vessels conducted unsafe and unprofessional actions against U.S. Naval Forces in Arabian Gulf.

Eleven Iranian vessels conducted dangerous and harassing approaches of the USS Lewis B. Puller (ESB 3), USS Paul Hamilton (DDG 60), USS Firebolt (PC 10), USS Sirocco (PC 6), USCGC Wrangell (WPB 1332) and USCGC Maui (WPB 1304) while the U.S. vessels were conducting joint integration operations with U.S. Army AH-64E Apache attack helicopters in the international waters of the North Arabian Gulf.

Furthermore, IRGCN vessels carried out their mock attacks on U.S. Military ships.

The IRGCN vessels repeatedly crossed the bows and sterns of the U.S. vessels at extremely close range and high speeds, including multiple crossings of the Puller with a 50 yard closest point of approach (CPA) and within 10 yards of Maui’s bow.

The U.S. crews issued multiple warnings via bridge-to-bridge radio, five short blasts from the ships’ horns and long range acoustic noise maker devices, but received no response from the IRGCN.

After approximately one hour, the IRGCN vessels responded to the bridge-to-bridge radio queries, then maneuvered away from the U.S. ships and opened distance between them.

The IRGCN’s dangerous and provocative actions increased the risk of miscalculation and collision, were not in accordance with the internationally recognized Convention on the International Regulations for Preventing Collisions at Sea (COLREGS) “rules of the road” or internationally recognized maritime customs, and were not in accordance with the obligation under international law to act with due regard for the safety of other vessels in the area.

The U.S. Navy, Coast Guard, Marines and Army have been conducting joint interoperability operations in the North Arabian Gulf since late March.

U.S. naval forces continue to remain vigilant and are trained to act in a professional manner, while our commanding officers retain the inherent right to act in self-defense.

This is what a real soldier looks like. just imagine the amount of sheer balls and bravery it takes to man a small naval vessel like that, and openly challenge a warship many times your size.

American troops get celebrated like heros. even though they wouldn't go anywhere near a fight where they don't have an overwhelming 100 to 1 advantage in everything..

that is why the US cannot handle Iran. It simply does not have the stomach to take on a country that is capable and willing to fight back.. despite all their hot air, and fancy looking military equipment.. at its core, the US is a materalistic, cowardice country that has lost any war where they felt the slightest bit of real resistance.

only "victories" came against virtually defenceless peoples

how hard is it to be normal?? Just be like Norway. completely normal

Normal countries don't invade and bomb dozens of countries under the pretext of fighting terrorism.
I agree, Iran should pull its troop out from syria in the pretext of fighting wahabbi terrorism.

The day they openly challange these ships they would all be vaporized before coming close,it's false bravado nothing else.

the day a US navy ship makes a wrong move in the Persian gulf. is the day hundreds/thousands of coastal anti-ship missiles and mines will rain hell on them and send every single one of them swimming with the fishes...

they might even get a nice firework show watching their base in Bahrain taking on hundreds of short range missile rainstorms as well....

the last time there was an actual confrontation between Iranian soldiers and American cowards this happened :

Oh you mean countries that deliver chemical weapons to the aggressor and then offer to treat the victims of chemical attack and pass information to the same country they gave the weapon in order to enhance its properties and make it more deadlier. You muppets come from zionist assembly lines or what?!

Please do that to a large vessel instead of a small patrol boat and then you have every right in the world to start your chest thumping, till then it's nothing more than false bravado. Just wondering what are you guys going to make out of it?

what a stupid irrelevant point.

A. they were both same sized boats. which would have made it a relatively even local engagement.

B. the MASSIVE US navy 5th fleet is stationed very close by. With other major US bases and troops in close proximity. you cannot capture americans in a zone with a larger concentration of American troops

C. The act of Taking armed American soldiers as prisoners itself is something few countries on earth have the balls to do, and with few precedents. The US NAVY was furious about their loss of prestige for good reason.

D. The US NAVY commanders were furious that this broke the invincibility cloak around American troops and assets. and other world navies would show this footage as training material to their troops to show how human, weak and vulnerable American troops are (in stark contrast to the invincible image their media and movies pump out)

I could go on and on..

It makes sense but your eyes are closed,I'm not sure why you Iranians like chest thumping so much. Grow up and be practical

You don't seem to realise that making circles around big ships with small boats does not show any bravery, it just shows that that the testosterone levels have increased so much that they have clouded the thinking process.

we have no troops there fighting there but we have advisors there and as soon as syrian government tell us to do so we call them back.
but don't you think first the ones who went there on their own accord must pull their forces out then we talk about the people who were invited by syrian lawful government?
