Most of the Iranian navy would be crushed during a war.

No destroyers or cruisers mean basically every surface ship is vulnerable until Iran can get a Bavar 373 like system on a future destroyer or cruiser.

What can Bavar 373 do when it is saturated with missiles?

We will lose every big naval asset in the first few hours. They will lose it too if they are close to our shores. Even Diego Garcia is not safe for them.

Early warning is important though. At least you can start leveling their infrastructures around earlier.

Deterrence comes from the ability to smash every single industry center, gas, oil, water and power infrastructure.

Surface fleet would get destroyed as you say. Most ships don't have CIWS let a alone anti-missile capability.

How long can they really survive if attacked? Sound like a good peace time solution but highly doubt would work for war.
The Makran is made from the hull of a large oil tanker, oil tankers of that size also thanks to the double hull in the past have shown to collect well important hits such as attacks with anti-ship missiles and mines without sinking.
However, it should be understood who the opponent would be and what he can put in place to attack it, certainly no ship is unsinkable and the Makran would be a primary target in a possible conflict

The IRGC transformed ship which is identical to Makran has AShBM, AShCM, CIWS, small boats protecting it, air defense systems and in the end drones/heli as its eyes and ears in the Middle of Indian ocean.
Its hard to judge this ship with a video clip but if we suppose itd help army's regular strategies as a helicopter carrier logistic ship then i hope to see the future generations of Fateh subs equipped with AIP are prepared to defend it in the Middle of Indian ocean.

Well, previus experience shows that Jran mostly show ships in early stages, and mostly latter ships were seen with additional equipment... so we dont realy know what it will look like in final version. It is important to see ships are building much faster, weapons on ships can be added and upgrade latter

Is there an elevator from the main deck to the flight deck..I imagine in long voyages they must store the helos and the boats and drones inside the hull..if no crane then how!

Lots of room for VLS..(may be future retrofit!!)

Could there be any sort of vls?

They are standard 40 'containers, today we are aware that they can be transformed into different types of premises, such as offices, operational centers, hospitals, etc., but standard shipping containers can also be adapted to receive the entire missile systems with launchers, sensors and command post.
Those structures indicated with orange arrows, I think they were. Made to receive defense systems, at the moment the Iranian version of the Zu-23-2 is probably present at the bow.
On the flight deck there is no hangar or even a lift to shelter the helicopters under it, difficult to manage a helicopter on board for long periods of navigation without a place to protect the helicopters and carry out maintenance.
We will see in the future.
Pd
I don't see any VLS, but the ship has plenty of room to add structural elements
