Theirs simply no way we'll see any karrars or any modernization or procurement from the artesh with this budget level. Simply impossible with a 500,000 manned force. Unless sepah foots the bill which means karrars would go to IRGC-GF instead.
With Sepahs Revenue + budget and only 150,000 manned personnel we should be expecting them to have the same level of funds available to them as Western European militaries
Yea I would say the Karrar for now will strictly be for the IRGC & after the IRGC deliveries are complete maybe then they'll give funding to the Artesh to buy some...
Sepah has it's own revenue so they make money on top of what the government gives them & they make so much money that they can afford to put more than the $6Billion of what the government gives them on weapons acquisition alone
And they don't have a lot of fighter jet's to fuel and repair or a lot of large ships and Subs to fuel and repair nor a large force to pay paychecks for so their funding is adequate but ONLY because they make their own money and thank god they do or else we would be in a lot of trouble!
Army Ground forces has 350,000 personal
Air Force has ~40,000
Navy has ~20,000
Air Defense ~15,000
So a total of 425,000 personal of which ~225,000 are conscripts
Regardless, if they were to spend an average of $500 a month per solder for Paychecks, food, fuel for transport, housing, uniforms, standard issued guns, training, bullets and other equipment used in training, health care,...
even divided on a average cost of $500 per month per solder per year the cost will come out to $2.5 Billion USD per year!
So just trying to maintain your own current equipment with that much money is practically impossible let alone trying to build or buy new equipment!
And $450 Million USD is just not enough to fund even the paychecks of MOD companies!
It's just not enough to fund various MOD electronic companies, DIO, SAHA, HESA, PANHA, Qods Aviation, ISOICO and various other companies that fall under the MOD
So any talk about Iran developing a new Jet engine, a new fighter jet, finishing the halls and decks of ships that they built, taking the Bavar 373 into production,.... with half of last years budget is just NOT POSSIBLE!
