Khanom is a Persian name I think, although the word Khan is in it. Dilber sounds Turkic.

Khanum is completely Turkic. Khan-um, my khan (Azerbaijani: Xanım, which basically translates into "my khan"). There are other versions such as Begum, Beg-um.

Are you sure about Dilber? because I think he meant Delbar which is Del(heart)+Bar(taking away).

Didn't we have that conversation? That Sanskrit "Khan" has an entirely different meaning and is nothing else than word coincidence.

Its not "om" first of all (depending on vowel harmony, it can be im, ım, um, üm, but not om), secondly that suffix is Turkic. Its a consonant that comes at end of a word and means "my". Same in all Turkic languages.

About the word Khan, I think @ASQ-1918 is right. I just looked up the connotations of the word Khan in Sanskrit in a wikipedia page, and it seems not exactly similar to our meaning from the word.
