Iran accuses Turkey on Israel policy

Irans religous leader Ayetullah Ali Hamaney top advisor for military affairs Major General Yahya Rahim Safavi questioned the policy of Turkish Government against Israel, describing them solely as political gesture.

TEHRAN / NationalTurk- Turkeys gestures and stance against Israel are merely a facade, it has only political and strategical purposes and the Turks have maintained their relations with Israeli government behind the scene, Major Safavi stated.

Turkish Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogans famous outburst on Israeli President, where he said President Peres, you are old, and your voice is loud out of a guilty conscience, When it comes to killing, you know very well how to kill. I know well how you hit and kill children on beaches. has sparked a negative momentum on Turkey_Israel Relations. Relations between Turkey and Israel hit then rock bottom following the incidents after the Israeli commandos attacked the Gaza Freedom flotilla in international waters of the Mediterranean in 2010, boarded the vesselMavi Marmara and killed nine Turkish citizens injured at least 50 other activists on board. Turkey announced earlier this month that many military agreements between Ankara and Tel Aviv have been halted and the Israeli ambassador has been expelled over Tel Avivs refusal to apologize for the last years deadly attack on a Gaza-bound flotilla, which led to the killing of several Turkish nationals.
IRAN : Turkeys Israel policy merely a facade

But despite these seemingly anti-Israeli policy by Ankara, analysts and officials of several regional states, including Iran and Syria, blast Turkey for its acceptance of a NATO missile shield which has been designed to more save the Israeli regime. Earlier this month, a senior Iranian legislator rapped Ankara for agreeing with the deployment of the NATO missile system in Turkey, and said the regional nations are displeased with Ankaras contradictory attitudes and policies
Iran Turkey Israel : Political Intrigue afoot

The contradictory behavior of Turkey is not acceptable to the regional countries, Vice-Chairman of the parliaments National Security and Foreign Policy Commission Esmaeil Kosari told FNA in mid September. Kosari declared Turkey implements a double-standard policy, and stressed that Ankara government led by PM Erdogan lost the reputation and prestige that it had gained through its recent positions in support of the Muslim countries, while the turkish leader assumes his influence and status in the Arab world has been solidified.

zero problem with neighbours was a mistake from the very beginning we are not a Scandinavian country or Switzerland :smitten:! and we have a lovely neighbourhood just speak Turkish with everyone :butcher:

.
Iran should concentrate on diplomacy rather than propaganda.

Btw,zero-problem policy aimed to change the paradigm in Turkey regarding the ME and it worked. It was a successful tactical move.

No! it was just an ideologically motivated idealist approach nevertheless, as always by time reality prevailed! there is always one constant in International relations and it is national state interest and countries base their foreign policy on it !!! not even on public level our perception of ME habitants have changed.

thanks to this failure! after a long time we start playing the game with the rules! and we are redefining some of them!therefore, sometimes having problems with neighbours is a healthy and necessary thing, especially with the ones in our neighbourhood !

LOL..You think that the man has proffesion on IR doesnt know what you know about IR theories. It was a counter-attack for the "turn your back to the east and keep sucking up to the west" and its obviously worked. I can see the transformation especially in Turkish Hariciye, they were so pro-west but now especially with the latest influx in Harciye, they have a more balanced approach and thinking.

Im saying it again,it was indeed an idealist approach but it was to counter some old-fashioned thinking in Turkish institutions. Btw when Esad is gone,we will be allies with Syria again.

. . . . .
whats is Iran's basic problem, wake up Iran this is not anciant age of persian kingdom Of Faras..its 2011 where things changes in every second..

World politics is a dangerous game! An ever changing scenario, where the safest way is trusting no one.

Cheers!!!

Well, Israel and Turkey DO have diplomatic relationship, even if downgraded.
I think Turkey did a master-stroke of letting deployment of the NATO missiles. Sure, it dents one Iranian option of launching against Israel but it also establishes Turkey's bargaining power in the West.
BTW, today's Haaretz is reporting that Turkish and Israeli warplanes nearly faced off near Cyprus.

.
I would rather see missile shield in Turkey than in Ukraine. Turkey can turn the switch off any time the need arises, eh ?

As far as Turkey Israeli relationship goes it is DOA "Dead on Arrival".

How can we ever forget the ruthless massacre of our Turkish peacekeeping brothers. Israel will pay a heavy price for their cowardly act. Our Turkish brothers will never be forgotten:

Is Iran angry because Turkey is getting more attention than it these days?? Maybe Iran is the only country allowed to be Anti-Israeli since Iran is all so great and Arabs are all so puppets and crab like that.

Maybe Turkey should say sorry to Iran for stealing its thunder.
