Iran to Target NATO Missile Shield in Turkey if attacked

i know, but it's a sovereignity issue to... remember when USA wanted to invade Iraq trough Turkey and we said NO?

why would we care if Israel or USA on their own went to war without approval of NATO or UN?

beside, NATO and Turkey has mutual intersts both in the Middle East and in the Balkans.

when usa attacked Iraq i didn't see a NATO support nor a UN approval...

You probably know that the Israeli UAV's that were sold to Turkey and Turkey used them for surveillance on the PKK terrorists were sending intelligence to Israel. Don't you? Iran has a right to be worried about those pre-warning radars in the Turkish soil, but to publicly say that we'll target them is a stupid move right now if you ask me.

any links on that.

at that time they where the best option... we do expand our UAV/UCAV experience and make our own now. i dont think our engineers are that stupid to not know the Israeli made uav's system

Iran shouldn' worry, that missile shield is purely defensiv. they wont carry out any attack.

Iranians will not fight like classic armies... Only kamikaze style attacks with lots of suicide bombers, and ambushes like guerillas. Also ofcourse missiles will play an important role.
No offense but that's the stupidest thing I've ever heard. There was one battle in all of the 8 years that we fought with Iraq where a bunch of soldiers started walking over mines and going kamikazi on Iraqi tanks. The Iranian regime wasted no time in using it as a propeganda tool and making the battle a symbol of how "jihadi" Iranian soldiers are.

Anyway, Iran has enough missiles to carpet bomb the nations around it. The number of ballistic missiles that we have today is mind boggling. We also have enough soldiers to invade any of our neighbors 5 times over. A million combat ready and 11 plus million of basij militia who are even more crazy then the regime itself.

it wasn't just Communism, terror is a threat to...

Most of NATO countries assist and support PKK actively. Example Germany, Netherlands and the French this is no secret.

Others arent going to fight our wars, they are going to assist/help us. NATO doesn't fight our war in North-Iraq we handle it us self, what we do need help with is a full scale war against a country... it isn't easy if Iran, Russia, Syria Attack us is it.

What exactly do you mean by help or assist us? You mean the shitty weapons we buy from them? We could even buy them if we are not NATO member, just show the money! Anybody would love to sell us weapons.

if it wasnt for NATO we would use shitty ak-47's from the 50's and would lack in development and self suficciency, NATO has given us experience in the defence sector.

We STILL are using shitty German G-3 so whats the difference. BTW according to the army the AK-47 is way better.

americans can also train their soldiers the same can Norway, the fact that we can train doesn't mean that we sould get out... we get experience/training. who in the east has powerfull special forces other than Russia. and i doubt they would train ours...

Turkey is able to create the most deadly monsters the world has ever seen.. the other countries soldiers would look like sissys compared to those.

they are not 11 millions basiji
anyway basiji "military" formation is very short and unconsistent. they are not army men.
furthermore basiji means taking benefits of this position: basiji are from the teacher to the worker.. they are everywhere in the society but not spending their time on army training.
there are two armies: IRGC and only a part of them is a good army , an elite, the best. And the conventional army Artesh ... this i explain for the non Iranians here not for you of course.

that has more with politics to do, when ***** merkele and midget sarkozy gets out of office we may see some differences

UK and USA supports us, they alone is more than enough for us

those "shitty" weapons is every armys dream... we could probably buy some, but not all of it. and most probably heavily downgraded systems.

don't know where you have that from... G3 is still a rifle used among most armies around the world... where the hell do you have the AK-47 is better than G3 from... my uncle who was a kommando would pick G3 over AK any day... the recoil is heavier in the ak

give me some links to where it says the army would rather have ak's over G3's

Turkey is able to create the most deadly monsters the world has ever seen..

so is NATO, you don't underestimate their soldiers just because you have better ones.

well, as far as I remember it hard turned into a big scandal but because I can't find any links about that at the moment I temporarily give up my claim.

Of course it's defensive, a pre-warning radar is not offensive, but it restricts our offensive ballistic missile power against our enemies.

we aren't under US command, if we where we would be like Kuwait... when USA wanted to invade Iraq and use our soil we said NO! some Arab countries supported them and based their troops there ^^

you need to take some other things to action here...Turkey wasn't a part of the NO-fly zone over Libya, we took part in the weapons embargo...

most arab countries supported us during Cyprus issue, and beside it was the PEOPLE of Libya that supported us Gaddafi probably supported us because it was "against the west or something"

Pakistan also has F-16's, we gain experience from such weaponry. Turkey has no intention in a attack against Syria... we have so far only made sanctions togheter with the Arab league

F-35 we are a partner, we make some of the components for the aircraft. we do have some 'Eastern' weaponry also...

You cannot blame Turks for the mess the muslims are in today!! They themselves as you can witness today are the ones responsible.. killing off their own people as if its nothing, the world watches. And doesnt consider them as a human, they will be more cruel because of that.

Thank you for explanation brothers, let me go other thread on NATO provoking attacks on Pakistan border which 28 soldiers death. Inhuman evil NATO.

Friend i mean, it wont be fighterjets vs fighterjets, tank vs tank, If so Iran will be owned, but i dont think Iran will play the others game.. It will come with its own rules! Which is different then classical armies.

agreed

Iranian military doctrine constitutes a unique hybrid of western (especially U.S.) military concepts coupled with ideological tenets, including martyrdom and revolutionary zeal. Since the 1979 revolution, Iranian military doctrine has continued to evolve and adapt with the regime’s shifting threat perceptions and regional political developments.

Iran’s armed forces have tailored their war-fighting strategies to counter technologically superior adversaries, such as the United States. Tacitly acknowledging it has little chance of winning a conventional force-on-force conflict, Iran has opted for deterrence-based model of attrition warfare that raises an opponent's risks and costs, rather than reducing its own. The goal is to inflict a psychological defeat that inhibits an enemy’s willingness to fight.

Asymmetric warfare plays a central role in Iranian military theory. Iran’s armed forces appear to be focusing on the development of niche capabilities that play to Iranian strengths—manpower, strategic depth and a willingness to accept casualties—while exploiting the weaknesses of Iran’s adversaries, who are regarded as risk averse, casualty sensitive and heavily dependent on technology and regional basing facilities for access.

In the Iran-Iraqi war they kept attacking our civilian ships and sinking them. And what I found to be even more surprising was Persians here actually being proud of it. I guess it is to be expected given how Racist and Self-centered they are.

not at all, I just showed you the way towards the desert. You just showed me your inferiority complex by thinking that a desert is inferior to the topographical landscape of Iran.
