Yes, as far as I know, there are 3 high speed lines under development and high speed Tehran-Mashhad railway,the most important railway in Iran, is under construction. Some are being built with assist from China and some other by Iranian contractors.I hope they don't face financial problems for it.

Should Woulda Coulda applies to every nation. If Soviet Union wouldn't have disintegrated, entire world would have been different.

If India had more competent government, we would have landed on moon right now. BTW we did crash landed our probe to moon.

If Iran didn't have sanctions, they would have been most developed Islamic state. Look at the constraints on them and then compare their growth.

You had US and then China to help you out since the beginning, you didn't use them to the fullest but Iran has been working its way up after Islamic revolution.

Tell me when did you have a competent and patriotic leadership last time ?And who is responsible for not electing one ? Iranians or Pakistanis.

Why didn't a nation of 180 million produce a single leader like Ahmednijad and elected a Zardari ?

Ahmednijad is not a person who was dropped from sky, he was the student leader who opposed Iran's hostage taking of US diplomats. He worked his way up. He is an elected leader. Iranian people brought him to power. So the credit goes to Iranian people for electing such a leader.

I don't know whether all Iranians like him or not but one thing is for sure, he is a man with spine. Two leaders in current world who are much more than a leader are Ahmednijad and Putin right now.

Ifs and buts. Iran was never the most developed, you are talking as if you know a lot. Check iran before 1979 and see if it was most developed it was still behind Türkiye then in fact it's economy grew faster after revolution, check IMF or world bank statistics.

If Iran never had sanctions they couldn't have alot of things like copying things or many other things. Iran wasn't under sanctions like 10 years ago or let's say just minor sanctions that many countries have yet they can't export anything other than gas and oil.

You should research before you talk or even think abit.
