Iran shahed 278 helicopter

I agree, but some member seem to just make a claims without any thinking.
Th
If you believe mullah propaganda, they are able to build "Millenium Falcon". I bet they even don't know which parts are imported. (Assuming that it's not a painted Bell)
it looks like a near 100% copy which is why it flies.;) But it could be just a freshly painted helicopter like you said. Anything is. Possible.

of course those whose country has nothing but assembly lines should relieve their obsession here.

Visit Turkish section, you would be surprised what we are allready capable to produce, not to mention the future when all the projects are finished. ;)

Mate, this is a 100% copy? Copy of what bell? Only trolls have claimed that but there is obvious differenced between the two. There are more differences between them than there is similarities. @haman10 @kollang @SOHEIL It seems trolling is ingrained in all these people?

@Serpentine
I keep asking you to delete off topic posts but you seem to ignore the requests. What's the deal?
Like this guy here. He think Iran is importing parts
Yes, I am sure the US has no issues providing parts to Iran for their bells. But then again, you show your level of intellect by thinking this is a bell heliopcter and can't see the differences.

Im saying that it looks like a 100% copy which is why it flies but again the point is that it flies and it can be produced locally no problem. Most likely the next Iranian helicopter project will not have any similarities with any other helicopters and will fly just as good as this helicopter.

Im out.:crazy_pilot:

Buddy @GR!FF!N Maybe you can help these Turks out. Explain to them why shahed is not "100%" copy. Even their mods have to troll.

@
Chinese-Dragon Hi buddy, I think you are also knowledgeable in these things. It seems these people love to claim Iran, China always copy when there is obviously there is big differences. In your opinion, is this helicopter a 100% copy as that guy claims? Also, if it is a copy, How on earth will Iran be getting spare parts? Buy them from the US

I have made a request for him or two to delete troll comment since 2 days ago now but not once did he reply. Look here for example, even a moderator is trolling. We come here to have a good proper discussion not such pathetic trolling by even mods. I don't expect him to be online all the time, but when he is, he should al least delete these comments. What's the point having a mod if such trolling persists?

My first statement
The important point here is that you are able to produce your own helicopter.

My second statement:
it looks like a near 100% copy which is why it flies. But it could be just a freshly painted helicopter like you said. Anything is. Possible.

I never said that it is a 100% copy I said that it look like a 100%. Im not an expert so thats what it LOOKS like to me. Then I said anything is possible because I have heard rumors of fake projects. Like S 300 made out of oil cans. Are they true? Probably not.

My third Statement
Im saying that it looks like a 100% copy which is why it flies but again the point is that it flies and it can be produced locally no problem. Most likely the next Iranian helicopter project will not have any similarities with any other helicopters and will fly just as good as this helicopter.

I said that it looks like a 100% copy which is why it flies. I don't have any knowledge of Iranian helicopter programs so you have to assume I dont know what I am talking about. Also I havn't seen any details on how the motor etc. were designed all I can assume is that they were copied from the Bell 206 helicopter. Now if that is the case it does not matter because in general when countries build their first whatever it normally has alot of design features from another design. Again my statement of 100% is based on what I can see. Most likely the internal parts are indigenous or have alot of similarities with Bell 206.

Finally I said that the next Iranian Helicopter Project will probably look completely different from any other helicopter. This is because design experience was gained from this project.

If I was trolling I would have said that the helicopter is junk and I would have just trashed it down instead of praising Iran for being able to produce a helicopter by itself with no external support and then saying that the next design will be completely different from any other in the world.

Hopefully everything is clear now.

@Kaan

Either your English is not that good or you're being dishonest. When you say "Im saying that it looks like a 100% copy " then what you're saying is that it's a copy. Anyone with eyes can see the big differences between the two. If there is such big differences, how can it by a copy? I can say, the Turkish t-129 is a copy of A-129 because they are almost identical. But you can't say the same thing about shahed and bell. Trolling mean different things. Trying to downgrade a nation achievement by calling it a copy is also a form trolling pal ;)

Now with regards to those "oil drums". That was another exampls of trolling. If you go to those trucks with barrels. You know what it said on the truck? It said "Ma mitanim" meaning we can do it. They were saying we are able to make s-300 and till this day they are almost finished with it. research Bavar-373. They never claimed those barrels were s-300. This is the problem, people make claims without researching. Like when they claimed qaher was a functioning air craft when Iran said it was a mockup. It goes on and on.

You are correct. If someone looks at the A-129 and then looks at the T-129 then they would say that it looks like a 100% copy which is a correct statement by someones who does not know however it would offend people who know that it is not. They can also assume that the internals are the same aswell.

It seems as though my statement has been misunderstood because to me as a person who knows nothing about the project the shahed looks like a 100% copy of the bell 206 and some one like me who doesn't know about the project can assume that its internals are aswell.

Im sorry if you guys took offense. A real troll wouldn't post iranian military news like I did in one of the threads here.

.
Are you blind?
I clearly posted the differences between the two. They are similar but by no means the same.
what is the purpose of this helicopter?
are there not already few other helis present that are based on old western tech?

Hi Irfan

I think the purpose of this helicopter was to also be used in the civilian industry, not just military. The other Helicopters Iran makes are copies of American ones and I think they are used only in the military.

This year we will also (hopefully) see the unveiling on the national helicopter. You can see the little mockup in this thread.
I wish Pakistan could help Iran by purchasing these heli's. It could help boost Iran manufacturing. Iran would be more than willing to sell and I am sure they would be cheap.
