I'll give Iran Credit for becoming self sufficient under sanctions however, the weapons they make are merely old tech which they upgrade and put new coating and skin.

I think the time is not ripe for an all out revolution there.

Revolution is something that involves the participation of majority of the people of the country.People's support is necessary for a revolution to succeed.It will take some more time in my opinion.
These days we can see a lot of turbulence in the middle east.sooner or later Iran will come under the sway.
One thing for sure,US is not doing any good by putting Iran under sanctions.It gives the people living there a common enemy and makes them stick to their own basics,makes them more conservative and makes them turn a blind eye to the atrocities committed by the government.
The West will not gain anything from the sanctions,it will just make Iran suffer.But that does not mean that one fine morning Iran will simply cease to exist.They will be there and they will hold their grudges against the West,which may have some serious repercussions.

There used to be an old thread on iranmilitaryforum.net about, they were saying it was made from the f-5.

so its not professional, its just a blog``whereas there are hunders of sources out there outline the development of F-18 which was developed from YF-17 in competition with YF-16, but they lost to YF-16, so MD further developed it for navy use hence F-18..c'mom dude, you have to know these common senses if you want people take your claims seriosuly

for example, Su-30 is developed from Su-27, and also J-11A/B is developed from Su-27, but F-18 from F-5? dont you see the difference?
