Iran launching missiles towards ISIS positions

eagerly waiting for some footage of the missile attack.....[/QUOT
There is none. According to Iranian military officials they didn't send recon drones at time of impact because they feared the US military would warn the terrorists about the attack.

While U.S. forces were not near any of the missile impacts, "anytime anyone just fires missiles through uncoordinated airspace, it's a threat," he said.

In the past, Ryan has said that Iran is not known for being accurate with its missile attacks.

"I did say two weeks ago that they have bad aim," he said. "That hasn't changed, and that is actually one of the problems with Basra as well. You have folks out there shooting weapons that they may not know how to use."

The incident is under investigation, he said, stressing that U.S. and coalition forces have no interest in having Iran conduct future strikes for any reason.

"The coalition is not requesting any support," he said. "We can handle things ourselves; we don't need anyone else firing into [the] region."

stop me if you can

Iran just gave the US another juicy casus belli to start tensions/war. Looks like even the US is smart enough to get out of the way of an angry lion...… shows how pathetic trumps twitter threats really are.

not even Russia strikes near US positions without tipping them off. not only is it a huge risk, but the US could easily have used this as an excuse if war was what they were seeking. endangering American military lives, pretend American casualties were caused, ratchet up tensions in the media UNSC, And corner trump into a position of having to directly retaliate against iran to save American prestige...

the US could have easily gone this route if they wanted to. they have started wars on far flimsier and even fabricated events (gulf of Tonkin, WMDs, etc.etc..)

once again iran knows how to respond. smoke some isis rats and send a direct message to the americans. though Iranian officials were very adamant that this was just the beginning, so one must assume the real painful response awaits the wahabi rats across the Persian gulf

Yeah, I'm shocked that Iran didn't "accidentally" hit the U.S. forces in the region. Just to retaliate for the attack on the Iranian parade.

Well it wouldn’t make sense to insist on super stealthy 75% scale RQ-170 bomber variant that can only carry two bombs if it means a much greater cost per aircraft.

If iran is going to build a true stealth bomber variant of RQ-170, it would likely do so for a big size bomber.

The Sofreh Mahi prototype that was unveiled at 50 or 70%(not sure) mockup a few years ago was much bigger than RQ-170.

Iran should strive for at least 3,000KG payload capability (Heron TP has 2,700KG) 3,000 KM operational radius.
it can carry 4 bombs not2

we must be more aggressive in our foreign policies.
Americans only know language of the force.
They need punishment to respect international laws like Syria sovereignty or respecting UN resolution.
Clearly this was message to occupier forces in East Euphrates.

US is behind thugs who want to bring war inside Iran. Your president and his appointed morons every day threatening us with sanction and civil war.
Ahvaz terrorist attack is part of US plan to kill and damage Iranian people and destabilize Iran like Syria.
Terrorists who did this freely speak with American backed channels in Europe and get fund from USA.

Yeah MEK is democracy defenders

The fact that no nation came out to counter Irans claims of the strikes efficacy speaks volumes on Irans capabilities. Genuinely congratulations on a weapons platform that is modular yet effective, sad to see we didn't get to witness the strikes first-hand with drone footage but thats fine by me. The drones were also very nice as well.

Just like a Shark that smells blood in the water the behavior of the Rohani administration smells of weakness!!!!

They need to increase defense spending and mass produce accurate Iranian Missiles in far greater numbers! This time they should of fired at least 25 Ballistic Missile for each of the Shahid's in the Ahwaz attack

Babak Taghvaee the "Military expert" has tweeted about how IRGC is just stealing Iran's money and that the IRIAF's F-4s/Su-24s would have been much more effective at hitting ISIL. He fails to see that there is noway that the U.S would allow IRIAF to hit targets so close to its own forces (3 Kilometers!) especially having seen what the U.S did to the SAAF Su-22 that got to close to SDF territory while bombing ISIL. This attack by the IRGC was a great show that with all the talk about their anti-Missile capabilities, the U.S was unable to counter IRGC's missiles and UCAVs hitting only 3 kilometers away from their heavily defended illegal ground troops on Syrian soil.

So iran should have fired 625 missiles at a handful of targets?

What bizarre logic is that! Irregardless of how cheap Iran labor is, a Qiam Missile or Zolfighar Missile costs at least 1 million-1.5 million dollars possibly significantly more due to accuracy.

So you would have Iran spend 500+ million dollars on a symbolic attack!

Yeah that is just insanity. 25 Missiles in total would've been more than enough and a strong show of force.

Haven't you learned already. If Iranian Air force did it its heroism, if sepah did it, it's terrorism and stealing money.
