Whenever you look at the international news section only one name confronts you that is Iran. Now, is Iran a great problem & threat to anyones security Y~N? Does Iran really want to have a pile of nuclear arsenal to crumble the two nations namely Saudi & or Israel?
Is Hamas supported by CIA or the Iran supplies it the weapon? If USA favours democracy over dictatorship why in God's name it doesnt support the two pure democratic regimes in Middle-East namely Iran & Palestine? Is Iran is overconfident or the USA make Iran feel in that way intentionally?
To have an answer to all these questions do remember to see that whole documentary 'Iran Is Not The Problem'

Are you serious in asking the first question? that you ask this shows a great deal about your intelligence.

Iran and Palestine are very, very far from being democratic regimes. The most democratic regime in the Middle East is Israel. Fancy that ....

So seeker of the Truth, nothing but the Truth - when will Israel allow the millions in West Bank to vote? I mean to effect and to control their destiny through "democracy"? I am sure in the antebellum South of good ol' US of A, black slaves could've casted ballots until cows came home to be "free" - if the slave owners could be convinced that such exercises in "privilege" staved off revolts. But it still took Lincoln's military edict to set them free.

Anybody can tick off a circle or click off a "shard" (except in Florida it seems). Hey they can even do that in China in the People's Congress - apparently by stamping rubber stamps! But what does that mean?

So when are the West Bankers going to vote for their "emancipation" - or the very least - "independence"? If not, when are they going to be able to vote in Israel's general elections so they can be "heard"?

Tibetans can't vote - too bad. But neither can anyone else in the country to which they are citizens, albeit reluctantly. In good conscience, we can say that Tibetans are not singled out for being Tibetans. Kashmiris can't vote to "leave", yet - but at least they can vote to get "heard" - if imperfectly.

Only in Israel and Occupied Territories that only some get to vote - in a way that make a difference, while others get the "democracy" of living on the other side of the wall, but the "representation" of :undecided: - does anyone know of what? If they are not Israeli citizens then are they Palestinian citizens then? So where is the democracy if they are not even citizens of anybody?

Ah I get it, "democractic" Israel - led by Bibi's Likud are still waiting for them to vacate the land and become "citizens of Jordan". That's what I call "demolition-cracy" in action - the people steals, I mean speaks! :coffee:

There is democracy, and there is the lot casting of Sodom and Gomorrah - "Ma'am, we have decided by an honest and transparent vote with the results being 6 to 4 - and we did do a proper run-off. The decision, of course, is that we will now violate you fair and square - in front of your family ... and the ones who voted "No" will also participate, for we are ruled by a majority!"

Perhaps Iran is in the news because they are news worthy?

Even as the West seeks to engage Iran in negotiations over Tehran's nuclear program, Iran continues to arm rogue regimes and terrorist groups in blatant violation of UN Security Council Resolution 1747. Such aggressive behavior on the part of Iran in support of terrorist groups and rogue regimes highlights a critical shortcoming of current international sanctions on Iran.

In the latest case, last week, the Israeli Navy intercepted the Francop, a vessel carrying five hundred tons of weapons, including thousands of mortar shells and long range rockets believed to be bound for Hezbollah in Lebanon. Israeli officials released photographs of Katyusha rockets seized last week by UNIFIL forces in Lebanon that are the same make as those seized on board the Francop.

According to U.S. officials, the arms shipment was "clearly manifested from Iran to Syria" in violation of a March 2007 UN arms embargo and provides "unambiguous evidence of the destabilizing proliferation of arms in the region."

I don't know about mine but your intelligence surely is challenged by OceanX reply. Tell me you say Israel a democracy what a pity it is that it doesn't want Palestine to be democratic. For the people their want to vote against the occupied territory by Israel bigots but no; no elections no constitutions no UN recommendations just Israel verdict to be followed. Perhaps you took out a dictionary & redefine democracy

Iran's demands for full inspection seems to be reasonable from the quick changing layout in this thread. Remove Iran from the list of terrorist sponsors etc. It would work out in everybodys interest for the allies to sit down and talk with Iran

People forget that the regime in Iran is in place because of US interference. There was a time when Iran was a democratic nation, but since the West didn't like democratically elected anti-imperialist leaders during the cold war (perhaps even now) , Mohammed Mosaddeq - the secular Prime Minister of Iran - was deposed in a coup launched by the CIA and British intelligence in 1953 and in his place they imposed the dictatorial Shah of Iran. The consequences of which resulted in the Islamic revolution in 79.

So yes, to an extent Iran is not as much as the problem as mindless American foreign policy.

To be fair, you cant blame America for everything. Which is what allot of Muslims seem to do these days.

Even if we agree for arguments sake, the West is simply exploiting weaknesses already present in the Muslim mindset. The Muslim is still to blame for his misfortune in recent years.

Remember, Allah does not change the condition of a people unless they change themselves. Enough of the blame game...

I do not believe that our fate is in the hands of the Non-Muslims.

Do you understand my point?
