DUBAI (Reuters) - Iranian and Iraqi central government forces are to hold joint military exercises near their borders, Iran’s state television reported on Saturday, as part of Tehran’s effort to support Baghdad after the Kurdish independence referendum.

State television quoted a military spokesman as saying the decision to hold the war games was taken at a meeting of Iranian military commanders which also “agreed on measures to establish border security and receive Iraqi forces that are to be stationed at border posts”.

The kurds already had a virtual state. in what country in the world does "autonomy" include having your own fully independent army whos upkeep is paid for by the federal authorities?

The kurds basically had to accept on paper being a part of Iraq, while de facto having their own state, And receiving billions of dollars of federal budget in exchange.

this is a powerplay by barzani to keep power by playing on peoples emotions. While the americans see them as an opportunity to have an iran-free zone of influence in Iraq since they lost the country to iran.

while the Zionists being the manipulative scum they are. are absolutely foaming at the mouth by the idea of planting some anti-iran state right on Iranian borders. regardless of the fact that it would hurt the Kurdish population, and lead to destabilization of the region and raising of tension.

this is something they are absolutely counting on. Barzani is playing with fire. A Zionist puppet outpost will not be tolerated. and this has absolutely nothing to do with kurds. When kurds were in trouble with a savage isis marching on them, and the US and Saudi;s were foaming at the mouth and speaking of "sunni rights" when shia men were being butchered like cattle off the side of a river..... iran was the first country to come to their help... not Zionists or americans... let history not forget this.
