So the ipi dream remain a dream . i thought this line would help Pakistan and India to improve their relation .

India is one of the few friends of NATO countries that has good relationship with Iran. No one better to smooth things over between them and Iran...

It was only 30 years back when Iran and USA used to be bum chums.. Just like USA and Pakistan of 1980's.. and 30 years is a very small time in state relations.. You never know what next 30 years may bring.. As they say, there are no permanent friends or enemies.. Only national interests..

That's true, but the climate is very different now to then, muslim countries could be co opted and even courted with a little dignity back then, now it's all about war .

The Iran hysteria is not going down any time soon, also if Iran gets close to nukes, or even gets them then this is a non starter, don't you think??

Until India & Pakistan is ready to sign a treaty in the lines of Indus Water Treaty, IPI will remain a pipe dream. We cannot just handover our energy security to a hostile nation.

Well nothing is impossible. Japan & Germany lost millions fighting the US (Far far greater than what all Muslim countries combined lost to US), now they are the best of buddies. Same can be said about Vietnam & US. When it comes to India we were once all poised to fight the US not so long ago (7th Fleet....1971), but US is now offering us top of the line high tech technologies. Until 1991 we shunned Israel, now Indo-Isreal relation is one of the strongest inter-national relationship.

US-Iran relations were 'friendly' only during the puppet dictator Shah's reign. He overthrew the democratically elected Mossadeh with the CIA's help.

India wasted Pakistan's time

Due to Indian delays the pipeline was delayed by 10 years !!!
and Iran lost chance to earn almost 10-20billion from the revenues

Taking a pipeline via International Route is not ideal for Pakistan , because it interferes with Natural Habitat for fish which Pakistani fisheries depend on to capture fish and bring revenue into Pakistan.

Its just common sense , that after BP oil disaster any such "careless" operations will be stopped by Military intervention

Because once an accident occurs who will fix Pakistani Shores?

Will India pay Pakistan 100 Billion to fix our shores ?

So , from Pakistan's stand point - its not allowed it attacks our sovereign right to project All Pakistani Oceans

No one has right to pass a Bio Hazard , to ecosystems close to their land seas , fishes

We have to protect natural habitat

We will do what ever we want to do in international water..Do what ever u want to do. Dont talk like a super power pakistani fishermen fish there or not is none of our concern. What if a chinese mega Oil tanker breaks down near indian shores in international water and spills thousands and thousands of metric tonnes of crude oil which will affect our shores?? will China pay..

And lastly cutoff ur bull$h!t military crap that pakistan will act by its army airforce navy etcetc ur navy men will face the same actions as the somali pirates wich are displayed in all major news channels very often..
