If you needed gas , u could have build a pipe line by now. Iran is ur immidiete neighbour.

Pipe line passes through international waters and not ur coast and u cant do a damn thing about that.

Oman-Iran- India pipe line..

Indo-Pak-Iran pipeline was a disaster. It was worst Idea. Pakistan-Iran border is troubled since decades, There were very chance that Balochistani seperatist would have blown the pipe every second day. If Balochistani would have not done it then LeT would have.

This pipeline(in picture) is very good idea. Hope, it work out. India is making 3 CBG (1 each with Vikadi, VikrantI and VikrantII). I doubt any country will try to do any misadventure if one CBG will be present in that area.


Only thing is India Must not bow down to USA(anti Iranian lobby). India must befriend with Iran, Afghanistan and Make a base in turkmenistan. It will help us in future...

In New Delhi there is a lot of Iranian student studying in Universities and State Bank of India , countries largest Bank has its office at Tehran.Also India imports nearly 60 bn doller worth of oil from Iran each year this make Iran the biggest trade partner.

People are talking to much. Almost all going in better way. We both India-Iran will have mutual benefit. We have good relations since very long. Indeed, We ignored US also for the sake of Iran.

The deal is back on... i think visit of MMS will work towards it.

I like the way they have invested to dispel American sections and concerns.

1st Iran will export gas to Oman then Oman will export it to India so there is no problem about payment as India can pay to Oman but can't pay to Iran because of US.

2nd thing is that if we get gas via sea from Oman then its far away from pakistan because in Iran-India gas pipeline it will have to pass from pakistan's side but Oman_India will not pass from pakistan.

We have invented a technology which makes the undersea pipe line dont attack fishes. so chillax..

Anyway it bypases ur coast and will go through international waters.

Iran, India Likely to Open Private Banks in Each Other's Countries

TEHRAN (FNA)- Iranian and Indian private banks are likely to open branches both in Iran and India in a bid to facilitate trade exchanges between the two countries, a senior Iranian diplomat announced on Sunday.

Speaking to FNA, Tehran's Ambassador to New Delhi Seyed Mehdi Nabizadeh said that the private banks will open branches in the near future in a bid to make trade ties and exchanges between the two countries easier.

"Setting up these branches will leave positive effects on the trade ties between the two nations and will also benefit Iranian businessmen and students," Nabizadeh reiterated.

Asked about an upcoming visit to Tehran by Indian Prime Minister Manmohan Singh, the Iranian envoy stated that the exact date of the visit has not been fixed yet, and the two sides are trying to schedule the visit in 2011.

Diplomats of the two sides at the UN said that the date of the Indian premier's visit would be decided mutually after consultations.

Singh accepted in principle the invitation of Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad to visit Iran when the two leaders met on Saturday on the sidelines of the UN General Assembly session in New York.

Elsewhere, Nabizadeh noted expansion of economic ties and cooperation between Tehran and New Delhi, and said Tehran will host the 17th Iran-India Joint Economic Cooperation Commission meeting early in 2012.

The 16th meeting of the two countries' economic commission was held in New Delhi in 2010.

Well any pipeline that threatens Pakistani fishing and trade routes will have to be cut down sorry

Its just common courtesy to pay transit fees , to nation who owns the damn sea

Because any leak from such a pipeline will danger the food and fishing sector in Pakistan and that is against our National Security

India is more then welcomed to take a pipeline via Pakistan and pay transit fees like most nations do we can't change Internation rule of business just becasue India wants gas now

plz read the news and understand it before commenting.

Iran will export to Oman so there is no pakistani territory involve land/air/sea whatever.

Then Oman will export it to India again not passing through any land/air/sea boundary of pakistan.

When gas pipeline is not passing from any land/air/sea territory of pakistan then how can pakistan ask for any fee or how can pakistan cut it off.


Its in the international waters and any damage to pipeline will be seen as a act of war and a terrorist attack on Iran-India-Oman.

Taking a pipeline via International Route is not ideal for Pakistan , because it interferes with Natural Habitat for fish which Pakistani fisheries depend on to capture fish and bring revenue into Pakistan.

India will build the pipeline 3 countries (Iran-Oman-India) will share the cost of insurance and 3 countries will guard it.

No terrorist oraganistan can destroy the pipeline if pakistan tries to harm it then pakistan will have to fight with Iran-Oman-India. Pkaistan can't fight Iran from Baluchistan, Afganistan from FATA and India through Kashmir, Punjab, Sindh etc. etc.

You know in that case pakistan will be surrounded from 4 sides to fight.

Even if in worst of the case scenarios it get damaged for some time the loss will be recovered through the Insurance.
