Russian Gas to be transferred to Pakistan and Persian gulf through Iran

Actually Pakistan will benefit the most..you get a gas pipeline and discounted Russian gas and stop paying 4 times the price of LNG from Qatar ( Qatar LNG is now being contracted by Europe)...4 or 5 times saving for Pakistan..Iran gets Transit fee..Russia gets to sell it gas...Arabs will be ok with that since it is Russian gas so PAK remittance will be safe..
Did the Iranians check with Pakistani generals to see if their daddies sitting in Pentagon approve of such an arrangement?

You may be right but I will wait and see. Taliban are more willing to support a TAP then the old Hindutva Afghan regime. Taliban need revenue sources and are more interested in developing the Afghan economy. The old Hindutva Afghan regime didn't care about developing the Afghan economy...… their entire economic model was to skim American and western aid.
problem with Taliban is they are not a united powerful entity , they are consist of various faction who ire working with each other as long as it serve them but local branches when ever like it ,will go against the central Taliban government instruction .
also its Russia gas do they actually are wiling to cooperate with Taliban

will it be acceptable for the current establishment though? are they ready to take the anti-US/Pro-Russia stance and the pressure that comes with it?
Thouught IK was the leader going there (towards Russia) and look what happened to him (out of power)
If this happens under this government, then it just goes proves that it’s a matter of Pakistan’s interests of getting lower commodity prices and not any grand strategy to undermine the west. Heck, even India is finding a way to buy Russian oil and gas at a discount, because otherwise they would face mass hardships for their people. The global south is just trying to get by.

the only thing is remined is the pipeline inside Pakistan , otherwise its already at Pakistan border

Eurasian integration is more likely then ever considering the events of the last 2 years. Its win win for all parties to complete these pipelines.
I will take any bet with either of you this WILL NEVER HAPPEN and offer odds of 5/1 in your favour.

You remember how every PDF moron talked about the vast increase in trade with and through Afghanistan, The vast riches that awaited Pakistan after the Taliban success. This of course is another sad fantasy of the eternal fantasists that Pakistani's are spoon fed.

How Pakistan lost potential Afghan investments?

Isn’t it a shame that a nuclear-armed country with 220 million people is running a trade deficit with a conflict-battered neighbour next door? It must indeed be a matter of shame. Let us look at the latest figures: Pakistan’s exports to Afghanistan in September numbered around $80 million. The imports from there clocked at $125 million. The total bilateral trade in September 2021 stood at around $1.83 billion. Pakistan exported about $859 million worth of goods and its imports were registered at around $976 million. So the balance of trade has tilted in favour of a country that is under international sanctions and has been through four decades of war.

These vapour pipelines is just fodder for Pakistani fantasists.
They continue to fantasise about miracles coming to rescue them.

The geopolitical and economic benefits are too great to ignore, especially considering the price difference that doesn’t look like it’s going away anytime soon.

It was on the back of Russian gas the Germany rebuild a lot of its industry and stayed economically competitive. Look at Europe now, without Russian gas supplies. Germany recorded the first negative trade balance in three decades. There is no reason similar pipelines to south Asia won’t maximize the potential of a young labor force and attract FDI. It’s not only Pakistani fantasists, the TAPI pipeline was meant to terminate in India. The IPI pipeline was also meant to terminate in India. Even the vision of a Oman-India subsea pipeline was all set to be built, until Pakistan had its EEZ extended and make the project less viable.

I will agree that Pakistan can’t count of miracles to arrive over the horizon. The hard task of internal reforms are the only way to have financial substance on the bones that can be strengthens with any foreign joint ventures. India’s economic reforms of the early 90s and land reforms of the 50s are two example of models that should be studied, similar to how South Korea studied Japan or how Poland studied Germany, in hopes of matching and perhaps surpassing it.

Ratio the energy needs like this. Hydrocarbons 1:1 Nuclear energy + Hydroelectric.

Our stupid mofo went Hydrocarbons mad and imported Hydrocarbons to generate electricity.

now this very noon league has shut down its own installed powerplants that run on imported Hydrocarbons. thats how retarded they are.

And this confirms Pakistani's are spoon fed fantasists from the day they were born.

This is why the best thing the Afghans can do is build the Trans-Afghan railway. All manner of goods including oil and gas via railcars can be transported. Once the balls gets rolling, and cargo is seen moving between central Asia and South Asia, FDI will come in for pipelines. If the talons want their government to sustain itself, they need to get that railway build ASAP.

Outlines of an agreement that is being discussed between Iran and Russia:

  • Russian will build a Gas pipeline in Pakistan and connect it to Iranian Pipeline
  • Russian gas will be sent to PAK via Turkmenistan, Azarbijan to Iran and Iran through "Swap" mechanism will deliver the gas to Pakistan
  • Russian and Iranian companies on a 50-50 partnership will build under sea gas pipeline in the Persian Gulf and transfer the Russian gas via Iran (swap) to OMAN and other Persian gulf customers
What's wrong with Iranian gas which is next door?

Most Pakistani Journalists are liberal morans. Trade between Afghanistan and Pakistan has increased massively, previous Hindutva afghan regime wasn't even trading with Pakistan. Afghanistan is currently cut off from the Western monetary system so trade is done in PKR. Afghanistan needs a trade surplus with Pakistan to rebuild its economy looted by Hindutva Afghans that fled to mansions in UAE and USA leaving Afghanistan completely impoverished.....so I'm not sure what you talking about delusion of vast riches in Afghanistan. Trade with Central Asia is also up massively compared to a few years ago. Eurasian integration will take time but will continue. And FYI....Pakistan has the lowest CAD in South Asia today.

And pigs will fly

What's wrong with Iranian gas which is next door?
Pakistan can not import Iranian Gas or OIL because of US sanctions and ARAB anger...US will not be happy and Arabs will retaliate by Pak Expats remittance issue..so in this Russian plan...PAK will be buying Russian gas and Paying the russians...Iran Receive Russian Gas up in northern border from Azari pipeline and will deliver the same amount to Pakistan from Iran's Southern pipeline (that is why it is called a Swap..no need to build a new pipeline in Iran).. WIN WIN for all...will solve the PAK energy issue and if in future Russia goes back selling her gas to Europe again ,Iran can step in and provide Iranian Gas ....so PAK will have a steady supply from world's two biggest gas reserve countries of Russia and Iran. Use the gas and build your industries.

Well India is happily indulging itself with Russian and Iran Gas and oil so why shouldn't Pakistan? Don't think Uncle Sam will be happy with anything that Pakistan imports. So Pakistan needs to make a decision that all sovereign nations make in their best interest.
