you see Syria is not internal Arab affair . to be honest in the 2121st century there is no such thing as internal x countries or nationality affair .
Everything is interwoven with everything else . each decision there affect every one from China to Britain.
You can't expect somebody wants re change balance of power in the region and other player stay silent.
The shrines claim are as credible as claim that Sunni Arabs of Syria decided to overthrow Syrian government because it was secular or alevite or..
Everyone knew the inferno started ,fuelled and fanned by foreigners
There is and there is also a difference between how nations states act and how individuals without any power (forum members) act online. I cannot take it seriously when people who have no clue whatsoever about the Arab world, individual Arab countries and who cannot even count to 10 in Arabic, here or elsewhere online or in person, are commenting about KSA and Arab affairs in general, as if they are a part of it and if they have a say and they matter.
I know much more about Pakistan and Iran than maybe 99% of all foreigners do about those countries YET I am not meddling in their internal matters or telling them what they have to do inside their own countries. Or trying to act like I know better than locals.
My point is that self-proclaimed anti-Arabs are wasting their times obsessing about affairs in the Arab world. Instead of lying through their teeth they might as well tell what their real views are and what their intentions would be if they had any power. All this crap about caring for Syria and Syrians, Iraq and Iraqis, Yemen and Yemenis, it's one big fat lie.
First of all around 80% or so (let's say 75%) of Syria's population is composed of Syrian Sunni Arabs. They used to rule Syria (secular manner - modern era) long before the Al-Assad regime and no minorities were hurt. It's the same nonsense I hear about Egyptians. Apparently using their logic, the 8-10 million or so Copts, would have/should have been exterminated ages ago. As well as all the Shia minority communities in the Arab world in Yemen, Oman, UAE, Qatar, Bahrain, Kuwait, KSA to mention a few Arab countries. It's just a joke.
Most people, irrespective of sect, rose up against an incompetent, highly criminal and mass-murdering regime who have destroyed Syria and turned it into rubble, killed at least 400.000 of its people, exiled millions of its citizens directly or indirectly due to their actions, who have SOLD their country to foreigners as the regime could not survive on its own without outside help, itself a humiliation etc. That is why they rebelled. Not because (as maybe propagandized by Iranian state media) they want to eat Alawites or Christians for breakfast. Most ordinary Arabs not traumatized by war, not having their families carpet bombed (and thus wanting revenge or blaming sects for this) do not GIVE A CRAP about sects. Those who do use this mostly in a political way. Those who even know about the real differences of sects (theologically) are few and far in-between and who really study those differences in depth. Why? Because they just follow what they were born into and what their parents, grandparents etc. followed before them and because they do not obsess about sects and maybe not even religion to begin with. Certainly this is the case for a large percentage.
Apparently everyone in KSA is an imaginary "Wahhabi" according to the Iranians here (despite not even 40% of the population belonging to the state-dominating Hanbali fiqh) while there are 2-3 million Shias, if not 4 million. Attacks against them, even with all the geopolitical conflicts, wars in Yemen, civil war in Syria, Daesh in Iraq and Syria, 2-3 attacks on them were made by local terrorists in history. People live together in the same cities, intermarry (yes, that also happens but obviously its not the majority) and work side by side on all fronts.
This kind of propaganda that Sunni Arabs (80% of all Arabs worldwide - some 400 million people nowadays worldwide) are some kind of Daesh replicas, is just something that cannot be taken seriously and part of some kind of demonization campaign that is deliberate. It's so moronic that it is not even worth entertaining or given much thought if not for the stupidity that you notice in certain places online. Usually this is only online ironically. We all know why.
