Iran announces a new tank called Karrar

I think that I couldn't elaborate my point properly.

An MBT have hundreds of parts in it. My point is that few countries in the world have the industrial capability (and access to relevant resources) to develop these parts on their own. Since these countries can develop an entire MBT (almost) by themselves, they are also likely to produce workable designs.

Many countries do not have the industrial capability to develop an MBT indigenously. Now, this doesn't implies that they cannot have domestic MBT projects. However, these domestic MBT projects are also made possible through foreign exports and based on proven designs.

For example; Al-Khalid MBT is one of the domestic projects of Pakistan. However, it isn't indigenous in the manner as a layman may assume.

The above is true for passenger planes as well. Few countries in the world have the industrial capability to develop a passenger plane indigenously. Again these are USA, UK, France and Russia.

Thats true with a lot of things. An iPhone uses technology from other companies but no one claims that its not an indegenious product.

But yet somehow we Turks got to hear your shitt about the Turkish defence products not being Turkish because it uses some foreign components. Kinda annoying when the tables are turned around isnt it?

This will come as a shock, but we Iranians are not a carbon copy of each other.

Oh my . what did i miss here ? another Turkish jealousy shitfest ? why can't you people act like human beings once in your life ? do you see Iranians posting in your section ? No . the reason : you simply don't matter .

give it a rest and enjoy your life people .
Excuse me, but I though sections are supposed to delineate TOPIC, not participants.

The Swiss and Swedes, as examples, are perfectly able to design an build very good tanks. However, the development cost is prohibitive, as the number of units likely to be sold is limited to those that are domestic, i.e. an inherently small number. Particularly if used tanks are available from German stock.Therefor they opt to not develop a (new) MBT: for economic/budgetary reasons.

You still have not explained how the most current tanks in the B-list countries I mentioned are based on/derived from/modified versions of the tanks of the A-list countries you mentioned. Could the reason be that's because they aren't? See e.g. Japan (Type 90, Type 10), Israel (Merkava), Brazil (Osorio), Italy (Ariete) etc.

True, though i would argue about the majority of Iranians on this forum. If you have been here for as long as i have that shitt just makes me want to cringe. We had to hear that for years mate.

Dont have anything against them, i actually like all Iranians except for scythian500.

i never participated in those conversations among iranian and turlish memebrs. but lets be fair and see other side of the coin.
have you forgotten the manner and words of majority turkish members about Iranian products during those years on this forum? most of what you have complained are reactions towards turkish members actions.

I wonder what is turkey always so proud about actually ? At the time of Ataturk yeah i could understand it because in economic terms, education, technology and military turkey was as good as the west and far wider than the arab countries.
But now they have been backwards in all aspects. Their economy is a debt economy and will soon collaps. About 1 trillion dollar total debt. In term of education, technology and so on they are 10-20 years behind the west now. At the time of ataturk they had a fighter jet factory now they can assemble us scum f-16, that s it.
Ah they have one good thing as good as old germany namly their nazi propaganda and the donkey turks believe it. We can produce our own tank, missile helicopters and so on.
Guys look in the detail and all experts know turkey has no independant military technolgy base that means they are always dependant on nato. Their politics is catastrophe someone would think they are lead by zio themself such a self destruction.
The best what they can do is to work with their neighbours and have good relationship with them. We share so much with iran, syria irak much more than with the west and us. That s also a muslim duty written in the kuran.
But sadly turkey is in self destructionn modus and nato wants use us as cannonfodder for zio goals.
As a german with turkish roots I can only wish iran all the best and blessing. I believe that iran will be the first muslim country which will be indepedant from the east and the west and bring glory back to islam.
Go Iran and show the world the muslimm power!

Turkey economy will soon collaps than no money for anything but one way is you can sell soldiers to gulf monarchs to get some money for living that s not a joke or humilation it already started with qatar

stopped reading after you said Turkey has a 1 trillion debt and will soon collapse,

Turkey has a decreasing debt rate, which currently stands at 33% of GDP , previous year it was 35% of GDP
Turkish debt rate is among the lowest for a diversified and developing economy, the only countries that have lower debt rate are resource rich countries, Turkey has 0 resources and 33% rate is actually very impressive.

Not even gonna bother with the rest.

. . .
Yes, this will be an Iranian varient of T-90.

.
Very bad move to reject T-90. When pursuing indigenous project a country must have a potent tank fleet already operational or acquire a good foreign tank (if available) as both a stopgap & backup/fallback plan. Indigenous projects are a pain. They usually take lot more time to develop then projected.
