Never care What a politician claims regarding technological matters but In terms of Military items, Turkish officials mostly consider "NATO + mostly Israel + Russia+some other developed countries in field we talk" as a milstone for comparison. Iran or any other closed country which activities/cooperations/undertable subjects are not clear enough to reach detail informations, are not inside of our schedule for comparison. Assessments are mostly done for countries which is being assessed to be a likely rival of our products.

Actually, There was USA and Israeli UAV's on market in times When Turkish officials made such a statements. In similar years, Europe was just developing similar class UAV's for experimental reasons so It was expected that ANKA will just compete with USA Reaper and Israeli Herons at international markets but China is also joined into league despite The UAV they marketted have a quite less altitude performance than NATO equivalents. Europe is also struggling to commence development of a MALE UAV similar class with ANKA at present.

In additions, TARANIS is not same class UAV with ANKA.

why do you think ?? this is one more baseless claim by Turkey which no proof can be provided .

Turkey only assemble UAV not UCAV .assembling is totally different to making and manufacturing and building it from zero .
