What's new

Internal and external trolls both failing Pakistanis stand strong.

AlhamduLillah e Rabbil Aalameen!!!

Pakistan's people, Pakistan's Armed Forces, Pakistan's interests and Pakistan's narrative converge in what is The Reality i.e., as things are on the face of this Earth: Pakistan ka matlab kia, La Ilaha illAllah...first and foremost.

That's the beauty of our narrative, it comes naturally as it is engrained in our blood.

Those who go against it, stand out like a sore thumb.

Hi,

Thank you---. People don't understand how nationalistic the americans are towards their military---.

Just like pakistan has a BLASPHEMY law---the americans have an un-written law---and that is never to talk bad about the military or soldiers---even though they have committed a tremendous amount of atrocities---.

It would also be a similar reaction---you get castigated in pakistan for blasphemy---you will get castigated in the US for bad mouthing the military---.

.
Yes, the Pakistan military is beyond all criticism. Of course. Such is the power of the narrative.
Your pain is understandable. When you are loosing you need a punching bag. After all you are negating your own view point by criticizing military yourself and no harm has come to you. In my point of view, Pakistan is the only country where military is criticised to its teeth. It has become the punching bag of politicians, West backed liberals, cheap popularity seeking journos, people trying to have asylum in west and not to forget the terrorists. So again I would say ur pain is understandable

Pakistanis have a hard time digesting the facts on Iraq

You keep bringing up reality and narrative with regard to USA. What was Saddam's narrative ?
The reality is that most Iraqis were not willing to die for Saddam.
500,000 Iraqi soldiers (Regular Army, Republican Guard, Militiamen) folded in under 3 weeks to 40,000 US ground troops. As few as 10,000 Iraqi soldiers died in initial combat.

anyway the narrative was wrong and there was no wmd.it was a big lie and most americans see this as a mistake.i have seen many americans criticizing bush regime.

Visit UC berkeley, or even the S.U at UCLA, there is no muzzle on anyone. It does not make any sense to talk bad about any profession without reason.
There is ample criticism of aspects of military when needed, An American won't shy away from talking about unecessary defence spending, poor VA managmement, Poor rehabilitation program, unnecessary involvement in wars, maybe you haven't noticed massive protests during the vietnam war, right upto the gulf war.
And like Pakistan if United states Military indulged in massive corruption, Shadow governments, Military coups, Dictatorial regimes trampling the constitution of United states, No American would have tolerated that.

This Blashphemy nonsense finds it's value among pakistanis, Americans have shown right through the 5 decades that people can oppose the regime without the fear of disappearing or being constitutionally charged with medieval laws.

You are going way off-topic, the comment was regarding narrative vs reality. FACT . Don't care about Saddam's, Gaddafi's or whatever's narrative. My point was, reality doesn't matter as long the nation of any country is convinced about the narrative presented to them being the truth.

Whataboutery for a response? How sad.

It's not whatabout-ism, it's difference between reality and narrative. I know water exists, I know air exists, but are you certain that 6 Million jews died in Holocaust, are you certain that Pak Army raped 1 million of Bangladeshi women in 1971, are you certain that India downed a Pakistani aircraft in the last dog fight? These are not whatabouts, these are direct questions presented to you asking about which narrative do you believe in. Whatever you believe may or may not be reality. So, the crux of whole argument is reality doesn't matter as long as people believe in the narrative presented to them.

How convenient ?? If Iraqis believed in Saddam's narrative they would have bloodied America nose. Any lying or lack of lying on part of USA makes no difference.

Iraq had 600,000 men under arms. Even with sanctions Iraqis had tons of weapons to fight. 10,000 died fighting or getting blown out by USAF bombs. The question is what did the rest do. It is obvious even Saddam's own generals did not believe him.

Nazis slaughtered Jews in the millions. If it is 5 million or 5.8 or 6 million I would not know. Census figures do not lie. No one disputes Nazi brutality. The only question is how brutal or benign were the Soviets. It really does not matter because Soviets made the wise decision to join the Allies.

Pakistani army raped tens of thousands of Bengali women in 1971. No one kept score on the real numbers. There are plenty of NY Times reports that would support tens of thousands figure. Before you accuse America of being biased in 1971 Pakistan was US ally

I am not sure if India downed a Pakistani aircraft in the last dogfight. what was the point of the skirmish ? I see the politics. Does it change anything militarily ? Is the PAF superior to the IAF because they shot one IAF aircraft ?

I've noticed too

it makes no difference from military standpoint

I feel no emotion in describing reality, which will always win over any narrative. Always.
Then you must see syria and iraq ... they had similar views about their leaders but now their kids are being eaten by wild animals ...

I agree our armed forces have issues but we have to tackle this matter internally by restrucruring our society not by hating them ... they are a vital part of our nation
