So you are saying? NE states will prefer your country over India? Funny...
Because of India, NE states are still 3rd world after nearly 70 years of Indian independence.
It is beyond doubt that NE states would have been much better off being part of BD.
BD energy market, consumer goods and port access when coupled with the immense natural resources of the NE states would be a winning combination.
No need for NE states to become part of BD, although they are welcome to if they wish, but to become free of the Indian shackle and take control of their own destiny.
You do know that Bangladesh is very much a third world country too, right?

India has better and more ports, energy market and consumer goods. Maybe BD should take advantage of all this by merging with India?Because of India, NE states are still 3rd world after nearly 70 years of Indian independence.

Breaking up of a country is not that easy. The world is more complex than economy. It is the ability to continue the way of life that people choose over anything else. Freedom to practice whatever religion, customs, language, way of life and NOT be persecuted, looked down upon etc.
Eventually the Brahminic hold on the throne will weaken. We will then retrieve our traditional/historical sovereign state from the Rajmahal Hills to the NE.we will never invade india, but we will do whatever it takes to block indian supply to North East India in case of chinese invasion... @-}--
India is still very much 3rd world after 66 years of independence.
True BD is still 3rd world but it has had only 42 years of independence to grow it's economy. Give another 2 decades and BD should become a middle-income country.
Unlike India, independent BD has had no massacres of minorities so the people of the NE states have little to fear from being part of BD.
Problem with India is that it is very inefficient due to it's massive number of minorities, with no one anywhere near able to take a lead to propel the country forward.
Even with the 40 million NE population, BD would still be dominated by ethnic Bengalis and hence would be able to run a more efficient economy than India ever could.
And we will retrieve our akhand bharatEventually the Brahminic hold on the throne will weaken. We will then retrieve our traditional/historical sovereign state from the Rajmahal Hills to the NE.
BD was part of Pakistan which claimed Hindus and Muslims were two different nations that cannot live together. Now you have no problem living with the "other nation"? so you are openly saying the two nation theory was a farce.
BD will be dominated by ethnic benaglis. This is exactly what needs to change. BD should be dominated by BD citizens - no bengalis, no islamists, no hindus, no one. your nationality is a differfent identity based on itself - not on your race, religion or mother tongue. The moment you start divisions like that the remaining people (in this case - non "ethnic Bengalis") start to feel like second class citizens. This was a major reason for the split of BD from Pakistan.
Because you parted from India not based on your race. but on your religion!BD has been dominated by ethnic Bengalis since independence in 1971 and no massacres of minorities recorded to date. We have no parties that preach hate against anyone else that have any kind of following. Even the "Islamists" do not have a problem letting Hindus and others lead their lives the way they want to.
In BD there is no discrimination by Muslim Bengalis against anyone else. So why should NE states fear anything from being part of BD apart from better economic prospects?
