India doesn't spend 2rs of the100 on defence. It spends almost 20Rs of the 100Rs it has on defence. That's 1/5th of what it earns.
The sad reality is it spends only 3.8 rs of the 100rs on education. and 6Rs on healthcare. So awesome isnt it?

The great lie being perpetuated by the elite of nations who are the media and control it too, which compares the GDP of the entire nation to the defence budget, instead of the percentage of the actual union budget, just to fudge figures is one of the greatest propaganda success achieved.

No one cares about dying people and rampant poverty everywhere or rotting foods due to lack of storage silos because it doesn't not affect the elite. For the elite the only thing which might affect them are eternal forces beyond their control, and in order to keep the external forces in check, the defence of the nation is built up to protect their assets. Its the same from the times of plato to now, human society hasnt changed one bit, its the same greed and apathy, but just diverted to new avenues, that's all.

Based on your reply i can already see that you don't know much about defense needs of a country. Though some of your statements don't make much sense yet i will take them at face value and reply....please think about it and answer....

Very simple. Is rafale going to prevent any war? Not in a million years. The only safety against a war is a nuclear weapon which we already have.

Kargil happened when we had nuclear weapons ...Parliament attack and post forces deployment also happened when we had nuclear weapons...China's incursions in Ladakh and other regions are on all the time when we had nuclear weapons...USA and USSR were mighty enemies and a threat of war was always there...even though they had nuclear weapons which can wipe out earth may be 10 times....so in short..."NO"....Nuclear weapons may give you an insurance that you will not be run down by the enemy without them getting an unbearable response, however a) It cannot guarantee a no conflict zone for good b) certainly can't do jack in a limited conflict.
Thus more than a decent conventional firepower is need of the hour...Also this deal is for replacing the existing machines that we had...if not this then what should we do when our existing feet retires?? Make more nukes??

Which brings us to the next question. Will china attack us? No because they are too busy stuffing their pockets with blood money of their own citizens, or economic development as they call it. They wont risk a war to jeopardise that well oiled money making machine.

and they will continue this forever? what will happen when they will say we have sucked enough blood of our own people(or economic development as they call it) and decide now it is time to suck some India blood?? What will you do then?? because as of now conventionally or non-conventionally we are no where near them...

With these set of measures already in place, we set out priorities right and spend on education and health care and increase the standard of living of the fuckinnnng poor people who are less than a km from you!! And the lower middle clas struggling to make ends meet.

Nothing is wrong, as you says right india's prospering, the per capita GDP (WB2013, $1499) may surpass Sub-Saharan Africa ($1738) in the coming years, a well-developed infrastructure (90 watts/yr/person ...), a powerful manufacturing base ($178/yr/person value add), and with a forex of #273/person (neglect the small debt), a huge population, these are all undeniable ground realities, don't let the hunger issue overshadow other achievements. There's nothing going to stop india from buying more weapons.
