There are more than 2 million scheme going on India by central and state Govts to help the poors including 1 rupee rice,Antorday anna yojan,Indira awas yojana , PMGSY, RGGVY,NREGA,Stipend for old and widow,SC,ST and minorities,free education including midday meal,laptop,cycle,clothes,books ...etc etc....but a country without security cannot suustain when you are surrounded by hostile neighborliness china a and Pakistan....think if Indian navy is not capable of evacuating its national from foreign nation how we would be complaining against govt for not having requisite forces....

I understand and agree but I am not stating for India to reduce weapons procurment and research. Just do more to help the poor. All the schemes you mentioned, yet we still have not enough toilets! We have 2 million schemes but the amount of ppl it reaches it not enough to make a dent yet. Corruption, unaccountbaility, etc all take a toll. Such issues are used by foreigners to bring our country's reputation down. Don't give them any fuel to fan their BS fire.
