India's hybrid hypersonic, reusable , costeffective launch vehicle

Yes a very valid point.

But why do you presume that these drawings are from Bollywood?

A country as poor as India should stop spending on anything other than managing Food, Clothing and Housing for its citizens. Bollywood and all sorts of entertainment should be banned considering that it leads to so much enimity and heart burn with our dear neighbour.

Only and only after it has achieved self sufficiency in all these areas should it start anything to do with scientific development, weapons, research. entertainment etc etc.

Haha,

Those who comments this imports rice and vegetables from India.

ISRO and DRDO both have hypersonic launch vehicles programs.. Now their hybrid vehicle vehicles arec oming. Both agencies are working on this sort of vehicles. Design is out. Here is how it will work.

Let's wait till they have a proof of concept and a working demonstrable model before we start with the chest thumping.

We're decent in planning and schematics, it's those devilish details in operations and execution that ail us.

Our projects have delayed but we have a record of completing all in much better way than planed.

The devil is in the details, what good is a completed project if it's done by 10-20 years past its completion date.

Our operational execution and timely goal achievement leaves much to be desired, that much is undeniable. In light of that, it's a little premature to celebrate off of proposed schematics alone.

Yet we are 3rd, 4th or 5th in many critical technologies.

I think you're misunderstanding what I'm trying to convey. Our capability and capacity is growing and speaks well of our scientific community and their hard work, but such an environment is also subject to economic, organisational and political constraints, which at times causes unnecessary delays, costing time. This is where we need to focus, we need to start to optimise the entire chain from development to production and all the logistical infrastructure necessary to provide it in a time frame at best advantage to GoI's goals.

The plans for such a delivery vehicle are admirable and innovative, however it is simply but one step towards achieving it.

Happy that such a project is under consideration?Yes!

Bragging about it whens it's prototype isn't even ready? No!

There's 10 critical industrial technologies that make up the modern world

1. metallurgy
2. semiconductors
3. software
4. pharmaceuticals
5. industrial machinery
6. shipbuilding
7. infrastructure engineering
8. telecom
9. chemicals
10. automotive

I would put India at top 5 only for metallurgy for Arcelor-Mittal, but even though the owner is Indian it's incorporated in Luxembourg. Even in 'strengths' like software and pharma India is not in the top 10.

Ohhh So India is mot in top 10 in pharma and software. this is great.

top 10 pharma companies: 0 Indian (no Indian companies even listed)

top 10 internet software companies: 0 Indian (highest #29, FlipKart)

top 10 non-internet software companies: 0 Indian (no Indian companies even listed)

India supplies 28 pc generic drugs in the world and hence India is pharmacy of the world. India produces maximum vaccine in the world. So India is top in pharmacy.

We build highest KM of highway per day so we are ahead in infrasttucture as well.

We are no 2 in intetnet user and ranked very high in data usage.

You can wait. I don't mind.

Yes Saar you are super power.

Name an Indian computer operating system software ( something designed from scratch and not yet another distro of Linux ). :)

So how is the Indian COVID vaccination program going ? I heard that even lot of medical personnel have not been vaccinated. Since last year about a thousand doctors have died of COVID.

Let us not be hyper-nationalist but be ambitious in a scientific and intellectual way.

There are three recent Indian space rocket design companies ( Skyroot, Agnikul, Bellatrix ) and I would really like them to become capable of taking humans into space and not become limited to launching satellites. We need three Indian SpaceXs.

BTW the vid in the OP says that this reusable, multi-propulsion-mode launch vehicle weighs 130 tons. How much payload can it carry and can it be scaled to carry humans into LEO ?
