India’s HAL Offers To Build 40 Additional Sukhoi Su-30MKI Fighters

you mean corruption? It is government‘s duty to get IAF under control.
Even USA air force can not alway get what they want.

Of course Gripen will bring more logistical problem, Why? because It is a new plane for IAF.
It has been shown that once You induct about a 100 aircraft of a type it does not matter.
So 200 aircraft of type A, will have the same logistic footprint as 100 of type A and 100 of type B.
Moving to an aircraft which is much easier to maintain, and thus low cost to operate is beneficial to IAF.

Agreed. Indian Airforce is approved to have 42 fighter squadrons i.e. around 840 fighters. Of these 840, 270 are SU-30. Except SU-30 all other fighters are scheduled for retirement. So India needs around 570 fighters that need to be inducted.

India should go for following to replace the old fighters.

100 Rafale
100 Gripen
100 F-16
100 F/A-18
100 PAK-FA
100 F-135

Empty Pockets compared To China Defense Budget of $150 billion ............YES

But Empty pockets compared to 98% of the WORLD = NO

$60 BILLION per Year With approximately $15 billion for Air Force alone is equal to Pakistans entire forex

And the Budget is 8 times YOUR size.

You people talk about J31 and Joining Turkish FSX programme buying S400 AND inductiong 300 THUNDERS with AESA ............. WITH whose money ?????????

And yet you tell US and claim Indian is running out of Money

.
do you think what is costs to buying these jets it not i billionss of dollars but trillions of $$$$ @PurpleStone think logically @PurpleStone

100 Rafale
100 Gripen
100 F-16
100 F/A-18
100 PAK-FA
100 F-35

600 fighters with an average price tag of $100 million would cost $60 Billion dollars @pakistanipower . Over a period of 15 years, this would require around $4 Billion dollars per year @pakistanipower . This is easily feasible @pakistanipower . Think @pakistanipower Think.
