I, as an Indian, would like to thank the Board authorities for their frankness in their views.
It was a pleasure to read the posts of Neo and Blain2 and the words from the Webmaster.
On the issue of biased views, views from India can never be the same as the views of Pakistan. That is very obvious. Yet, I would also like to add that many Indians do use caution while posting, even though this is a great forum that we visit. We do so because we would want to interact with Pakistanis and learn more of them and about them and shed and help shed our historical prejudices that is doing both of us no good. If Indians were to talk to Indians alone, or Pakistanis talk to Pakistanis, then we would be talking to ourselves and concretising our biases and not build bridges. We must build bridges and not destroy them with our historical biases.
I would also request that it matters not what Indian forums do or alleged to do. This is a forum, as I see it, totally different in approach to many forums, be they Indian or from anywhere in the world. One has to be a LEADER and not a Follower.
As Neo has said, that there are many Indians here, is a tribute to the people who run the forum and it is but a feather in their cap.
Mujahideens remark that we learn from interaction is worth note. I have learnt tremendous amount from this forum of the vibrancy of Pakistan. I have learnt more from this forum about SWAT and NWFP than what the world newspapers (including Pakistani ones) could offer, since real persons out in the turmoil there (or near there), have given their views. I have also learnt to share their joys and sorrows without the view from behind tinted glasses! In fact, I have a new perception of Pakistan! And it may surprise many, they are pleasant.
As Road Runner has said, debate! And as Janbaz has said discuss and hone your views.
True, by debate we shall be better human beings since there are many things we do not know, but what we should know, and to this extent, this forum has indeed benefited me.
I could not do without the daily dose of sanity from Neo, AM, Mastan, Fatman, Blain2 and many other, too many to enumerate. The thread on the Siachen should be seen, where instead of going haywire, some very sane discussion has occured and notes on very intersting historical issues exchanged.
Thank You.
