Indians knew about gravity before Newton: Isro ex-chief

. . .
have u gone through the text of bhaskaracharya... did u understood, what he said, its obvious, ur understanding of contemporary world will be better as u are living and learning the same language from childhood...
Please do point out to me where Bhaskara has explained the universal law of gravitation. The inverse square law. That's what Newton brought to the table. That's what I said, about modern understanding. (Although to be very pedantic, you would have to take into account the relativistic anomalies.)

So those verses in the Quran about god breathing life into Adam and Eve? How does that fit in? From what we know through evolutionary biology, there never was an Adam or Eve, no such thing as a first couple.

Thank You; it'll be an interesting read to get some insight on Mr.Nehru's views ! :)
Since you are very interested in Jinnah and Iqbal, I would mention that there are some personal accounts about them by Nehru. Rather unflattering towards Jinnah in some places. IIRC, there is an account somewhere in it where Nehru claims that Iqbal told him privately that Jinnah is just a politician, but Nehru is a true statesman. (Something like that, I read it long back.)

Anyway keeping all the personal views aside, it's a fascinating read about the subcontinent's history.
