Indians from India en masse on Social Media Celebrate PIA Passenger Airplane Crash in Pakistan!

It's okay. Ignore such fellows.

Just express condolences and move on. Nothing more we can do.

You can tell your countrymen that espouse RSS ideology to not celebrate death and destruction. In fact that is the least you can do. Shrugging your shoulders and pretending that everything is fine is also criminal and complicit.

There are 1.4 billion people India. There's always going to be some low-lives like these. How many can we call out.

We are responsible for our own behaviour and perhaps for our near and dear ones. Not for anyone else.

There are far more people saddened by what happened than those who are celebrating it. But for those who wish to see only one side, there is no remedy.

Hamarey Jaley par namak mat chhirko :what::what::what:

We live in an UPSIDE-DOWN world right now. Five years ago, who would have thought that Donald Trump would become President of USA!

Neither did we imagine this Modi nightmare. Not even his Bhakts did. The 2014 result was a big surprise even for them. He only contested that election to TROLL Congress party.

It is as if God himself chose to punish Indians by making this guy win.
2014 was a surprise, what about the 2nd time? I really want to understand what makes Indians look up to Modi? Is it Pakistan hate alone? Because every time I listened to Modi, it was always about Pakistan. What about domestic issues? How come Pakistan trumps every other issue that most probably is affecting Indian lives more than Pakistan.
And how come the entire Indian media tows Modi's line? Money, blackmail, something else?

Amongst the 10 billion Indians out there, there are truely some with basic manners who don't hate monotheistic religions. I know some nice Indian guys here in Munich (Sikhs and Hindus). But they are just anecdotal evidence and a tiny educated minority not worth mentioning in this discussion.

But the problem is the majority with internet access tells another story. And some are just out there for virtue signalling. I checked social media comments few hours ago and even saw a comment of an Indian I knew from university time I helped finding an internship liking an article about the crash with a "Smile" emoji on Facebook.

Hinduism and Islam are not compatible. This Hindu-Muslim Bhai Bhai BS is a toxic leftist pipe dream. Peace can only be reached if we don't interfere in each others matters. Be nice to your Muslim population and don't demand from them to become Semi Hindus. And stick to your way of life and we stick to ours.

I have checked random tweets online of Indians and most of them were saddened by the incidents.

PM Modi has also tweeted about this expressing sadness and his post has received around 130,000 likes and mind you his followers are mostly from the right. So imagine how the left or centre leaning like me must be feeling. I am pretty sure 130,000 likes and growing is more than the few posts you read.

You see what you want to see. It's called confirmation bias.

I think it's class hatred. The scion of India's Congress party, Rahul Gandhi, represents the most upper class person of India (among the 0.1 percenters.) He has a Harvard and Cambridge education, an amazing pedigree stretching back to the Founder of India, Pandit Nehru. A family that gave three Prime Ministers, two of whom were martyred for the country. Sonia Gandhi being a foreigner was seen aloof to most Indians. They were ripe targets and are labeled non-Indians.

For some reasons, Indians in the hinterland states have developed a strong resentment against the liberal elites such as those in Congress party.

They think Modi is one of their own. He looks like them, talks like them, and acts foolishly without thinking. Does not care about protocol or etiquette. They see their own reflections in Modi. India was run for 70 years by the liberal elites of Congress. So now it has changed in the reverse direction. Now good education, fluency in English, and etiquette etc. are no longer important. A bunch of Jahills want to run the show and they call themselves proud Indians.

Of course they are willing to ignore the fact that Modi is only deceiving them as all con artistes do. He is nothing but a paid employee of 10-15 crony capitalistic businessmen running the show in present India. They include Ambai, Adani, Hinduja, Ruia Group etc.

That doesn't fit in with middle class supporting him.

I checked random twitter and Facebook newsgroups all full of hate and Schadenfreude! You may start a new thread about your findings?

Virtue signaling.

You are biased too. Instead of condemning them you derail the thread with this victim mentality. Not nice!

Good that you admit you are biased.

As for me, I already condemned them in previous posts. As I said, you see what you want to see. The rest you ignore.

So what does the middle class see in him?
Aggressive nationalist who will do wonders with Make in India, Indian start-ups will surpass Chinese, better rankings in the ease of doing business, less socialism-more capitalism etc. Some have a pinch of truth others are outright lies.

So what does the middle class see in him?

Imagine a rich friend inviting all his middle-class mates to a party. He has good family, is well-connected, very educated, has a beautiful hot girlfriend. Lots of money. Of course, the have-not's are going to resent his success at what they call "unearned privileges." Now if another guy shows up at the party who used to be one of these plebs, but is secretly backed by rich friends. He looks and talks just like the plebs do. So obviously he will be more popular.

That is why in older times, people used to only mix according to their social class. The gentry would only hang out with their fellow landowners.

Personal lives vs seeing someone as their own. Humans are known to make strange choices.
On another note as one member stated Indian middle class is also supporting modi, I wonder what do they see? What is the percentage of unemployment in India? Modi did started made in India campaign and from the looks it did give the impression that more industry means more jobs, but that initiative did not took off that well or did it?

It does. The middle classes of India hate words like secularism, liberalism etc.
Are made to hate, and they will insist that they want "real secularism" i.e. what congress did was minority appeasement.

I hate Congress if it's supporters have views like you.
