Of course we ate the 2nd most pouplous country in the world

Well with 1/6th of the world populations. if we don't, who would?
The tragedy is, not many opt to join the defence forces nowadays. They prefer to sit in front of a computer screen in a swanky BPO/IT office instead. And the situation may get worse in the future.

Don't worry, every NDA batch has rejections, not a single year that I know has gone with empty seats.

Nope. You can even prepare for IAS/IPS and get it. But getting into ArmyNavy purely based on Luck. Every infantry men want their sons to become officers in any armed forces. Competition is only increasing, not the other way around.

Sir,in the next 15 years the I.N. is going to expand exponentially and will have a combat cadre of more than 85,000 and a civil cadre of more than 15,000 as stated by the erstwhile Naval Chief Admiral(retd.)D.K.Joshi.Plus there is also a long term plan to set up our own Marine Infantry which will be more or less a division strong and will be under the supervision of the I.N.:coffee:

Remember, there is a shortage of 14,000 officers in the Army! And this has been the state since the past several decades! :(

It is better to aim for a total tonnage by 2027 than giving the number of ships, many of which could be small “boats” that don't really count。
