Indian Defence acquisitions council has okayed the purchase of S-400 long range missile systems

If true then it means they knew that Pakistan maybe purchasing Su-35 / J-11D or higher series because India don't need that systems in current threat environment as they are already working with Israel and other countries on SAMS.

we has S-300,we simply bought next version of it.It has nothing to do with Su-35.

Maybe it will force russia to block su-35 to Pak:sniper:

Maybe but then China will release J-11D or higher because its them who want robust PN and PAF to protect CPEC and their interests in Arabian Sea.

If India purchase weapons they are secretive deals but when Pakistan does the same then we are trolls, wow. Hypocrisy at its best. Now where is @danger007 what is opinion on this Indian secret deal???

But you guys are working on AAD/PAD with eyes on THAAD, SM-6 etc. Then why S-400 for BMD?
it will take some time to mature these system till then

Initial Envelop is in place,Next level envelop is in development.

By the way,I believe it has more to do with filling Long Range SAM requirements than ABM.

China can't sell J-11 as this series is derived from SU-27.It is long speculated that China agreed to not to sale this Jet to anyone(This jet has a history).Thats why you're seeing so many countries are using SU-27/30 but Only China uses J-11.

if pak has money to spend then no one can stop them from aquiring su -35

Money can be arranged if Su-35 are needed by PAF, lets wait on and see where talks leads to.

Akash, the surface-to-air missile system, can target an aerial object or aircraft upto 30 kilometres at an altitude of 18,000 metres. Though the Air Force version of this missile system has already been inducted, the Army’s version of Akash supersonic missile will be capable of flying at more than twice the speed of sound, according to defence officials.

The heart of the Akash is the ‘Rohini’ radar that can detect an aircraft 120 km away. And this mobile missile system will be mounted on Tatra vehicles to provide a higher degree of speed and mobility.

“Akash air defence system is fully autonomous with capability to handle multiple aerial targets including very low flying ones,” said an official.

But India start looking west for advance LRSAMS so why S-400 which don't have advance electronics as western ones have???

China can sell them that is one of many reasons why Russia is ready to sell Su-35, they asked Pakistan to purchase systems directly from them instead of getting them from 3rd party, they have offered plenty of stuff in IDEAS 2014 and both nation are working on agreed points. They are also willing to provide latest goodies for JF-17s too.

The Phase 2 missile defence system will be based on the AD-1 and AD-2 interceptor missiles that are currently under development. Phase 2 interceptors will be hypersonic with speeds of Mach 6 to 7. Missiles will have lesser time to intercept. Guidance systems have to be far more energetic and capable of quicker response. Ground testing of the AD-1 was to begin in 2011 and AD-2 in 2012.

These interceptors would be capable of intercepting missiles that have ranges greater than 5,000 km, which follow a distinctly different trajectory than a missile with a range of 2,000 km or less.

The Phase 2 system will match the capability of the Terminal High Altitude Area Defence (THAAD) missiles deployed by the US as part of its missile shield beginning this year. THAAD missiles can intercept ballistic missiles over 200 km away and track targets at ranges in excess of 1,000 km.
The Indian system will cost less but the amount involved will be between Rs 50,000 crore to Rs 250,000 crore.

Lol Indian members here don't go blabbering that we have this secret deal going on we have that secret deal going on and bla bla bla like you do whenever a question is posed in front of you.
But let it be I expect only that from you.
Heck even no one here knew about such a plan and no one even blabbered here like you always do without any substance.

BMD is a complex and heavy armamwnt they are used for protection of country against BM and not to shoot down third rated jf17 and f16 because that will be waste of resources Indian air defence consisted of several Sam systems, and BMD is father of all these systems which take care of BM missiles approaching the country from enemy.
These systems will create no fly zone covering Pakistan but balochistan might be out of its range.
Our SAM network consists of S300, S400, Akash, Pechora, klub and several SAMs which you will find on wikipedia,
Our future SAMs will feature QR SAM Spyder, BARAK 8ER, AKASH mk2.

S-400 electronics permits only to attack Pakfa, J20, J-31 and F-35[/QUOTE]

Basically both nations purchase many systems secretly to surprise enemy in war.

Pakistan have history of secret purchases, why? Because India can counter those capabilities if they knew about them due to large defence budget.
