Let's just applause India for gaining influence, which China did a decade ago. But, if Japan and Vietnam roots for India, good. It's what their government feels comfortable. China is known for not interfering with other nation's affairs, and this would mean that we can't force them to side with China, BUT, China can influence Vietnam and Japan to join them.
