The problem with India is they are not mature as a society yet.

They behave with Western countries because of centuries of British rule have trained them into being subservient to them.

SRINIGAR: Despite the tone and tenor of its recent actions, Indian Home Minister Rajnath Singh said on Thursday that his country desired cordial relations with Pakistan, but asked Islamabad “to change its approach” for this to happen.

“I want to say from the depth of my heart that we want good and friendly relations with Pakistan. It is our policy to have cordial relations with all our neighbouring countries, including Pakistan,” Singh told reporters on the concluding day of his two-day visit to Indian Kashmir.

Sindh said Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi had invited his Pakistani counterpart Nawaz Sharif to attend his swearing-in ceremony in May 2014 to “demonstrate India’s urge for peaceful and normal relations with that country.”

“We made our intentions clear on the day of the oath-taking ceremony (of Modi). If it was not our intention to improve relations with Pakistan, perhaps our prime minister would not have invited Sharif,” he explained.

Referring to former Indian prime minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee’s comment on Pakistan that “friends change, but neighbours don’t,” Singh said, “We also believe in that. There will be no let up in our efforts but Pakistan will have to think about it (too). It takes two hands to clap.”

Foreign Secretary Aizaz Chaudhry last month said Pakistan wanted to have a “normal” relationship with India, for which there is also a political consensus in the country, but Islamabad’s efforts were not being reciprocated by New Delhi.

Chaudhry said it was the Indian government, and not Pakistan, which had put a stop to the Indo-Pak dialogue.

In the recent weeks, both the countries have accused each other of sponsoring terrorism with a war of words continuing from both sides.

The real porblem are all those hindu extremists sitting in the govt and decades old cross-border terrorism promoted by India in the region.

I bet once India changes her policy of supporting terrorism in Pakistan and other countries, she will have a great friend in Pakistan and will only trebble the growth rate she is experiencing now.

Pakistan has evolved. Leadership is mature with foreign policy. India has been given plenty of chances in the last 4 years despite disgusting LOC behavior.

I don't see any problem with a national institution such as armed forces making its country's foreign policy. Unless our career politicians have some military background as is the case with almost all Israeli politicians, its dangerous to let these fools be in charge of a nation's foreign interests.

You have only India to contend with. Your entire military has just one 'enemy'. We have Pakistan as well as China. That's the difference. So, as long as China is a threat, our army will always remain relevant even if there's peace with Pakistan. And that threat isn't going away any time soon!

And by the way, where India is concerned, geopolitical decisions are always taken by the elected government not the Chief of Army Staff, unlike Pakistan where the Army calls the shots! It's a well known fact that security and foreign policy is controlled by the Pak Army. By the way, do you even know who Pakistan's defence minister is? We haven't seen hair nor hide of him yet!!

As the world says, a country has an army, but the Pak Army has a country!! That's the story in a nutshell!
