Fantastic performance by Pakistan. It was a match won by them and not lost by India. No excuses can be made. The overhyped and overworked IPL slaves got a much needed thrashing. Hopefully some lessons were learnt, but I doubt they will be implemented. They never have been.

There was not a single LBW or caught behind appeal during the Pakistan chase. No mishits, no close calls, no dropped catches. This shows that the bowling attack is so mediocre in good batting conditions.

Pakistan cricket reminds me of the former Yugoslav basketball team. While US had all the NBA glamour and hype, It was tiny Yugoslavia (in terms of population) which won 5 world cups (US won 5 too) and if not for their dissolution, they would have continued their dominance. World cricket is poorer that a good team like Pakistan doesn't get to play enough.
