Ok, I've done a bit of scouring the interwebs reading what the promos say and NOWHERE does it claim to have "stopped" Pak from making the bomb. They all say it was undercover/covert recon/intel gathering op.

Premise:

Amandeep Singh, a RAW field operative heads to Pakistan on an undercover mission to investigate about Pakistan's involvement in creating nuclear weapons, where he has to balance his professional and personal life with his blind girlfriend Nasreen.

Dunno if Arnab and the sansani news gang have been pimping it and making up shite but there's nothing about stopping the program anywhere.

Yes, the indian establishment was well known before our 2nd nuclear test was conducted in 1998.

Actually, Indian nuclear tests were not conducted due to considering Pakistan. It was a more and less global perspective and mainly due to the Chinese growing military power.

Today also, due to nuclear weapons the chances of war between China and India is almost null.. Even the Chinese will not be going to join a direct war against India for anyone. They will never take the risk of direct war for loan investment in Pakistan or anywhere.

Nuclear weapons are more or less a security umbrella against possible two fronts of war. It is generally naturalized and limits Chinese aggression at borders.

Are you referring to political leaders? If yes then you might to lookup at both sides of the border and their bravo statements & specially during elections.

But practically, it nuclear test was done because build fission and thermonuclear weapons with yields of up to 200 kilotons. It was well known that Pakistan already has secretly nuclear weapons but not has disclosed them to the public.

India was ready to conduct nuclear tests a few years before only but due to a good relationship with Soviet union, there was very less chance for a two-front war.

After Soviet Union, Chinese aggression was a very big factor to conduct the 2nd Nuclear test.

We are referring to a specific timeframe and there was little from Pakistan around that time. It was all “Now we will take Kashmir and more” from India
