India to back UN on action against Syria

I doesn't matter whether India support UN resolution against Syria or not, cause India is not going to send any force there for sure. So it's totally baseless to talk about it. The question much remains will Russia lose their last port outside Russia?

Why don't ppl accept that LTTE was destroying sri lanka from within like maoists are in case of india or khalistanis were??

50,000 to 260,000 . Mainly sikhs in fake encounters by congress govt. and 10000-15000 by khalistanis who were targetting hindus,communists,nirmala,Ravidasi and udasi sikhs.

Both sides were disgusting.On the murder of Rajiv Gandhi , it was not LTTE ,refer to the Jain Commission report.After BJP came to power,khalistan movement splintered and dissolved .

You can have your own sentiments on how the innocents were killed in Punjab. I have my own sentiments as well. SL issue maybe simple for you guys who does not have a clue on the background and history. As for SL, LTTE was destroying SL and needed to be destroyed but do you think SL was that innocent country? There are fundamental difference between SL and India. SL blatanly discriminated/discriminating against its minorities due to the Sinhala nationalist policy. Do you know SL could have own the war even without the deployment of heavy weapons after India helped SL destroy 10,000 tons of LTTE weapons stored in the ships acting as floating warehouses in the high seas? At one point, LTTE did not have mortars to use against SL army. These SL army goons fired at the hospital with innocents in the designated no fire zone. Similar incidents happened which caused the deaths of thousands of innocents and that is the reason UN human rights commissioner is there in SL as we speak.

Those are speculations. This port is very close to International shipping lane and if they give it to China to make a naval base, they will not only antagonize India also US. And you know what US do to keep its interest intact.

In 2016 chinese economy is gonna surpass US and then what??They have the largest manufacturing base on planet and can churn out war machines at a splendid pace.So no one is in a position to challenge china especially post 2020

It is a good read but let me state something - SL tamil movement was a non-violent movement and India was the one which contributed in a major way to convert that into a violent one by arming LTTE and other SL tamil militant orgs. who were on the fringe to punish SL for its support for Pakistan in 1971 war and being in the other camp in the cold war days.

1)circulation of magazines,newspapers,movies of tamil nadu
2)Trying to change the demography by planting sinhalese in tamil majority areas
3)banning the citizenship to tamils of indian origin in 1948.
4)banned tamils from going to study in india
5)a sort of quota based system that adversly impacted tamils
6)sinhala official language act of 1956 made sinhalese as the national language and tamils who were fluent in english and tamil suffered as a result but in 1987 tamil was indeed made a national language
7)destruction of jaffna public library in 1981

Yes they can churn out war machines in a rapid pace but quality matters. Now in 21st century technology is every thing and China can't beat US in this front may be for another two three decades.

Japan is posing and challenging to China today and they can't get out of South China sea let alone posing threat in Indian Ocean.

What India needs is reforms and it is not late either. Even China had 4% growth in 1989,1990 after double digit growth for a decade. Later in 1992, Deng brought in more reforms and started SEZs which boosted the Chinese growth once again.
