India to back UN on action against Syria

i said that........yes

Every good thing comes to an end mate............chinese have made stupendous progress in last 20 years and are still growing at feverish 7.5% rate while we are nowhere near and have already fallen to 4.4%(this quarter report)

Japan is stagnant for the past 10-15 years and is no match for china post 2020

But i do want chinese to slow down:devil:

Yes they will cross US but not in this decade. You are only assuming this that etc. Still dollar is the currency which is used to trade in international market. If SriLanka give China to build a Naval base there then US have to put only a simple sanction then god bless SriLanka.

.
Plus it is not in our benefit to side with either Assad or the FSA one is backed by Iran and the other by the Saudis, Turks etc all of whom we need to keep on a good footing. So playing it safe and saying we will abide by what the UN decide works beautifully!

Yes who says being a fence-sitter is bad.

My personal opinion though differs I want Assad to crush the FSA like the rats they are but that is another story :)

Me too, heard in tonights news that he has used serene gas on citizens. such monsters have no place in a civilized society. so in a way US may be right in attacking, as if allowed to go unpunsihed, this may set a precednce in future for some other rogue regiemes to repeat it. I stronlgy denounce use of chemical or biological weapons against anybody.

.
Saw this news. Very sad and disappointed about the decision.

The MEA has made us look like jokers once again after two years ago when we clearly highlighted our stance against external intervention.

I think going with UN has merits.

If chemical weapons have been used and it goes unpunished, it has implications for India as well, given our own unstable and dangerous neighborhood.

There are no easy solutions though no doubt that our foreign policy is currently run by people with no clue and not even interest it would seem.

But it is not even known as to who used the chemical weapons. How can US implicate Syrian government when the reports and UNO investigations point out towards the FSA lunatics who used chemical weapons obtained from 'unknown source' (which I am guessing US).

True. We are becoming the most unreliable country on this planet. First the aggressive action against Iran, second now we are not supporting Syrian government who has been friendly to India.

Not to mention that we are also going against Russia in this process.

That's the last thing we'd want. Russia has been the bulwark of our foreign policy, we cannot just shake such a relationship off.

Of course, the head of the governing political party is a foreigner, I think.

You're right. Thanks to a bunch of brainwashed clowns who refuse to see the problems this has caused.

We have mastered the art of baniyagari(no offence to baniyas....its just a figure of speech,,,they are actually one of the most intelligent ppl around)

We are playing double games

1)voting against iran and also buying oil from them

2)getting fgfa from russia and apaches from usa

3)voting against sri lanka and then telling them to be away from china

4)killing maoists ,khalistanis, kashmiri seperatists, assam seperatists here and voting against syria(which we will)

5)getting all the contracts with full tot from russia and shunning them when we got money

this is a confused non-ideological behavior and has isolated us in this world

This is bullshit..........india is now officially the stooge of US

How do you become a stooge if you back UN vs US actions? did you get confused between the two abbreviations?

backing a UN action where 100,000! people/humans have been killed. women, elderly, teenagers, kids, babies is not being a stooge! these are human beings... you outta hear ya self.

is it USA concern that ppl are dying??

1)what about gulf war 1991?

2)vietnam??

don't act so naive........its all for oil, atleast be bold to accept facts

figures from iraq war 2003

Documented civilian deaths from violence, Iraq Body Count (2003 – 14 December 2011): 103,160–113,728 recorded[35] and 12,438 new deaths added from the Iraq War Logs[36]

from vietnam war

Vietnamese civilian dead: 245,000–2,000,000[25]
Cambodian Civil War dead: 200,000–300,000*[26][27][28]
Laotian Civil War dead: 20,000–200,000*
Total civilian dead: 465,000–2,500,000**

What has Iraq to do with this situation?

How does the US which has no ties and no OIL from syria means OIL? The US btw in 4 years is on track to becoming No 1 producer of oil in the world.

Obviously for you 100,000 people slaughtered and now with being gassed is of no concern. But to others there has to a modicum of a moral compass when you say enough is enough

don't do anything then other countries will start using chemical weapons with impunity because they know that an international ban / treaty on this is meaningless..

Read the figures i posted above

the connection

Assad is pro russia and has good relations with china too.He wants to deal in euro and other currencies not only dollar and US will not let that happen as it will cause devaluation of dollar and impact their business. Is it so hard to understand??

It was the same reason in case of iraq in case u still think there were WMD'S:omghaha:
