No, they don't. I would say a slight bias, but it is very superficial bias and not something deeply ingrained. A true beauty regardless of skin tone is always appreciated in India. If you see the artwork at homes, it is always of native women. Only in advertising industry do they prefer Western looking women and even there coloring has long been losing significance.

South Indian actress are cast because they are beautiful and talented. North Indian actress are not so much popular even though they are many there with lighter skin tone. Pakistani actress flop even with fairer skin tones.

No, South Indian actresses are not any more lighter than the average South Indian. The very fact that huge number of our actresses come from South should tell you that lighter skin tones are available in plenty in the south too.

Another South Indian who looked like Aishwarya. So you cannot even argue that Aishwarya is something unique in South.

Even from the pics there are no signs of Ayesha Khan, Sara Loren , Fiza , Humaima, Mehwish going though any sort of knife just fuller lips which you can get by using Lip Fillers .


The only one with clear signs of plastic surgery is Nida Hussain .

i have gone to meet cousins in pakistan plenty of time in my school days, most of sindh and panjab has same skin tone as ppl from up, not much difference although north pakistan specially kashmir and peshawar and in north panjab ppl are fairer than rest of pakistan.
