New Delhi, Nov 2 (UNI) In what could easily be said the biggest ever defence deal with Russia, India has stitched a contract to acquire S-400 anti-ballistic missile systems from Moscow at a cost of around Rs 70,000 crores, top sources in the Defence Ministry said here today.

The modalities, including the price of deal and number of systems to be acquired, were agreed upon in the meeting of India-Russia Inter Governmental Commission on Military-Technical-Cooperation (IRIGC-MTC) which concluded today in Moscow, with Defence Minister Manohar Parrikar co-chairing it jointly with his Russian counterpart Sergei Shoigu.

The mega deal, along with an agreement to get another nuclear submarine, is likely to be formally signed during the visit to Russia of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, who would be travelling to Moscow sometime in December for an annual summit with President Vladimir Putin, the sources told UNI.

Without any sort of 'Cultural Revolution' it will take a minimum of 10 years. Most of the media is still funded by foreigners whose primary goal is damage the nation. Slowly they are being rooted out and exposed, while new pro-national news takes their place.

Multiple reasons..they back a corrupt regime like congress..so they come up in support of them...They like some policy changes to take place...like the drug patenting one.a nationalistic party at the center will not allow that. ..India..culturally is influencing a lot of the west..A negative image brings down that cultural influence. .

For Christian evangelical groups and Wahabhists and Islamists, it should be obvious why they would want that.

As far as America goes, understand that Interests > Values. If you share all American Values of democracy, free speech, secularsim, etc. but happen to be sitting on an oil field you want to nationalize, then expect...well you know the rest, read up on American intereference in Iran.

US does not want to share power with anybody on the world stage, and they will ally with anyone and do anything in order to support their interests. A Modi government was never in American interests for a number of reasons, hence the American media opposition and Hilary's 'Get Modi' campaign. What America wants is a return to a corrupt Congress that they can buy out and manipulate with ease. Even the Wikileaks shows America's support for Rahul Gandhi and the Congress Party.

So what is a use of S400?

Are you seriously asking that? Aakash is deployed in huge numbers ( 3000+ missiles) but they are a 30 km range SAM while S-400 is a very long range SAM( 400 km) with anti Ballistic missile capabilities( can intercept upto 3500 km ranged BMs)

Dude the negotiations for Rafale finished.. only the inking the deal is left over.. if we do that then the Russians will react differently that's why the deal will be signed end of the year after modi visits Russia give them new deals.. keep them happy. now Holland is coming in Jan, that's when the deal will be signed
