I am trying to get some info on the VLS tubes installed aboard this class, Its a russian tube could be a cold or a revolver tube...But if revolver tube is installed then one tube can launch multiple missiles....

Thats going to be teh case anyway. I am sure that plan is already in place. The main reason in getting the VLS tubes is to have a freedom to fire all missiles. But I think in your last post you said that these are specially condigured for Brahmos..so that means they cant fire any other missile.

Using Shaurya will be a damn good job..

That is true Sir. However I would like some Shaurya to be fitted on those missiles. You can fire that missile a 1000 kms away, unlike Brahmos which has a 290 Kms range. You are not entering the litoral zone that way and also gives you liberty to protect yourself better from incoming, missiles.....coz other ship needs to track you from a 1000 kms stand off distance. A HUGE ADVANTAGE

Yes. It will be fitted on all new ships starting from INS Teg.

What is the chance infront of evolved sea sparrow's,particularly when they claim it can knock down brahmos.

Alex - Brahmos can be knocked down, and if brahmos has been knocked down then its not the magic of the evolved sea sparrow, but its the job of air AEW which can detect the missile, coz normal radars will have blind spots and brahmos can fly below coverage area.

Well, Let the Shourya Finish Its Given Parameter Testings First, Its a Surface to Surface Missile and Can Be equipped on Ships.... Lets wait for this Canister Baby to Lift off from its Pre production stages

Technically speaking VLS was a rip off of VLS tubes from SSBNs and ballistic missiles. we both know that there is a plan to induct Shaurya and make it the primary arm of Arihant. You can just shift the same VLS and install iut on ships to fire up Shaurya....

Well, I do not know, No technology rules the world for Long... Same might be the case with Brahmos, But all I can Assure u is, Its pretty difficult to Chase down a Missile which is Not only highly sophisticated by its speed but also Maneuverability

My question is why Russia is not inducting Brahmos ?/ Do they have some other missile for that purpose because i haven't heard anything like that??
Does anybody has any information about P17a ? As far as i know, GRSE and MDL has a development plan going on after which they can support modular shipbuilding and which was suppose to complete in 2011 and then P17a was supposed to start ?/ Any news on both of these topics ??
