India’s Frigate with BrahMos almost ready

There's quite a difference between being fitted to be compatible with brahmos and being fitted with brahmos. In the former the ship still has to go under a refit. And as far as I know this is the case with INS Shivalik.

I read somewhere in BR that Shivalik though originally conceptualised for being fitted with the Klub missile was redesigned for Brahmos after the success of the Universal vertical launch module (UVLM) produced by Brahmos Aerospace.

Generally speaking Yes. but this is a destroyer to frigate comparision...Destroyers are more powerful than frigates.

INS Rajput or INS Dlehi are destroyers but frigates like INS Shivalik or INS Teg are more powerful than them. So its not about destroyer or frigate but weapons, sensors, stealth etc.

However, this missile is not only deadly to India's enemies, it is deadly to India's poor. 1 of these missiles could have saved 6000 children from starving for years. Who is going to attack Indian Navy but US Navy? I agree though, Brahmos would be very deadly in dealing with US Navy carriers. No one else to use them on anyways.

I value your concerns on India's poor. But but that can be genuinly discuss and I would love to share the statistics available to me to tell you how Indian govt is simultaneously also working on the poor. But sad, this is a defense section and it will be off topic.

Its just because of the fact that these are new ships and smarter in all ways than those destroyers. Else dostroyers pack much firepower than a normal frigate. Anyway
