India rejects Iranian demand for $1 mn

Iraqi PM is in India. All this drama from Iran to dissuade India from forging closer energy ties with Iraq.

Is it so hard to believe that maybe that Indian ship ACTUALLY violated a law and needs to be dealt with according to law?
What's with all these baseless accusations?

It is not hard to believe, but the Iranian response is over the board for a mere pollution case. The ship did not have any crude on board the day it apparently polluted the Persian gulf. Secondly, the Indian bulk carrier was detained in international waters, thats considered as hot pursuit. Hot pursuit of a bulk carrier from a friendly country that too over a pollution claim is just not done.

SCI says its crude tanker was not carrying oil on 30 July, the day when the pollution incident is alleged to have happened. The ship also did not transit the location where the oil spill allegedly occurred. The ship was then on its way to Iraq to load crude but Iran detained her on the journey back to India carrying crude from Basra in Iraq.

SCI says the ship was inspected thoroughly by port state control authorities in Iraq and Iran, which didn’t find any evidence of having caused the spill but has been detained in Bandar Abbas for further inspections.

:lol:best of luck getting the money from the miser goi
??
??
getting back to topic
i think if an iranian naval vessel also polluted the indian sea and spilled oil and balance water all over it,
and if the ship was what u call hot pursuited iran wouldnt be mad and would apologize
anyway this things r completely normal , and arent going to be a big deal in mutual relationship

The good news is that India seems to have resumed purchase of Iranian oil. Though we don't know if it is an increase or decrease on previous months.

Which is good.

It would have been a real @sshole move if they had stopped purchasing Iranian crude completely and taken orders from Uncle Sam.

If India buys a decent amount of Iranian oil each month, then combined with purchases from China/Turkey/Japan/etc. it should be enough to be sustainable.

Hahahaha india in crisis right but india isnt bankrupt ;)
From the experience from our surroundings I can tell you these criss are nothing if you compare with "them"
1 mn is nothing. Didnt you know what's the cost of crude we buy from them ???

Today indian economy is in crisis , we also have to wait till it enters into economic depression that is not far away.

You can buy as much as oil from Iraq as you want, as long as you know that Iran can block that oil transfer anytime it wants.

“We are not going to give them any guarantee that is meaningful,” said a top bureaucrat. “But, we will give Iran something so that they can exit from this.”
Yeah! Give them Mallika Sherawat! :girl_wacko:

This is a small incident my friend, India and Iran are friends and know each other very well. Hope this issue will be resolved peacefully
yes and as i said earlier jealouses should die:yahoo:

Iran is way too hard asking for one million dollars.
The rupee is too low to pay that kind of money.

wow u r a very famous economy expert arent u?
no one asked u to throw up (your info:omghaha:)

Yeah! Give them Mallika Sherawat! :girl_wacko:

calm down:frown:

The same as they did a couple of days ago.

 Yes and isolate itself even further. If push comes to shove India wouldn't hesitate to show Iran its place (we have already detained an Iranian ship if am not wrong). But lets just hope it doesn't come to that and better sense prevail.
