US wont shy away from Pakistan, they have geo political and geo strategic interests. one wonder how can those interests just vanish away which are solely related to Pakistan if India is being made partner.

the partnership with India is being developed with the lens by looking at a greater part to play in the region and China besides capturing market.

although a part to play in the region comes with a big question mark. whereas China will keep bouncing them back into their limits. i still think Americans knows this but they are willing to sell their hardware to this huge market so make it lucrative.

hence this is solely PAK-US relationship which has its own thing with ups and downs. Pakistan's own blunders in dealing with Americans also share a big part of those ups and downs.

we always talk of them not giving enough credit to our efforts particularly on WOT, it is us who were to earn that. we have our limitations which we could not make them understand in a good way. whether it was possible or to what extent sing to their tune.

of course it was the best moment when they came and ask for our cooperation after 9/11 but we blinked. we are not good marketeers of the issues and interests unless we learn.

The Americans can’t just walk away from Pakistan. Keeping PAF F-16s fleet keep Pakistan from going all out into the Chinese camp and at the same time keeps US relations with Pakistan intact. And this is not aid.

Investment relies on the country’s political and economic condition and in the current environment US will shy away from that.

Also the fact that Pakistan has been a good mercenary for US, hence this is a show of goodwill. Pakistan’s generals have been doing a dirty job for US and that too on a very cheap man day basis.

Next step, US would be expecting Pakistan to give it’s airspace for operations inside Afghanistan. Whether that happens is anybody’s guess.

I don't buying Chinese aircraft is an issue at all for the US. They just want PAF to be lethal enough to blackmail Indians to buy stuff from them.
