Some people here are thinking very highly of RAW.

RAW simply does not have the mandate to carry out attacks on military bases abroad.

The attack on Kamra seemed very un-organised, not so good trained people.

If RAW really makes a plan to attack Pak bases, rest assured, the people will not only enter the base but will blow up their intended machines.

If india was concerned about growing it's economy, it would have disn=banded Raw, conversly india is increasing it's millitary budget every year with more allocatin for raw.

Pakistan no longer dominates thinking within India the way it did 20 or 30 years ago.

India has moved on from Pakistan and its about time that Pakistan does the same and concentrate of building its country instead of waiting and preparing for a war that will never come.

People don't understand that there are 1000 ways to wage "war". Diplomatic war, economic war, propaganda war, proxy war, etc. etc.

As Pride said, RAW and ISI have been engaged in a proxy war for decades, and nothing has changed, or is likely to change. And both countries are staying ready for actual combat as the worst case scenario.

From India's point of view, the more ducks are lined up, propaganda-wise, the more options India has to deal with Pakistan, including actual war given the right pretext.

O boy....Baluchistan funding means side work....Defense budget is due to rise in that of Chinese....he is right, we are more worried about our economy and China's rise.

For Pakistan, Our Afghanistan network will be more than enough for coming years, meanwhile focus will be on Chinese build up near our borders. Like already said, if we prepare for China, Pakistan will itself be taken care of.

Exactly, if you see recent years of Indian diplomacy and Foreign policy, India is focusing more on allies of Pakistan, more on propaganda especially on your nukes, and proxy war is evident in recent attacks and also our growing presence in Afghanistan to open a western front.......

India is using its economic rise to get its foothold in Afghanistan and is improving its relations with Iran and GCC through Economic channels especially.

Subjugating Pakistan is a non-negotiable, important milestone for India to cement its hegemony in the region and to signal its rise as a major power. Other countries in the neighborhood will never accept Indian hegemony unless Pakistan is made to accept it first.

In that sense, far from being irrelevant, Pakistan is center stage in India's regional policy.
