Only the hull is seen in these pictures. The control tower is being separately assembled, it will
be attached to the deck after it's fabrication is complete - just like how the stern, bow and ski-jump
etc. were assembled separately but adjoined with the hull within last 1 month.

I've been on the Viraat...I can tell you this side profile just shows how much more massive the IAC is in comparison. Betaing the viraat itself is no me.an feat KUDOS to the guys working on this (and the political leaders too )

The IAC-1 will be better across the board. The sensors (MF-STAR and RAN-40L) on the IAC-1 outclass those on the VIKY and most Large combat ships to be honest. The weapons will be about the same as both will come with the BARAK-2 however the MF-STAR is the better sensor so will make better use if the BARAK-2s. The intental volume on the IAC-1 is greater dispite being marginally lighter as such it will be able to house more MIG-29K/N-LCA. Wrt Battle groups here won't be much in it as the IN will likely use very similar escorts for both ACCs.

Hope the Naval Tejas keeps pace with the development of IAC... I am really keen to see N-Tejas flying off both Viky and IAC (1&2).

Further, I believe once IAC-1 and IAC-2 join in .. in addtion to Viky, we should further target to have two more AC deployed in the Indian Ocean.

Safety of navigation in Indian Ocean is of paramount importance to us.

I am a bit late. Was away from town. To describe it as simply Beautiful..Breathtaking...Brought tears (tears of happiness) to my eyes..As a civilian I know from this forum that it is going to inducted in 2018, but a achievement like this makes me proud.
