Excellent cartoon! Thanks for posting.

Good for India. Maybe we should get ready to fight India and Russia at once. lolol

Nobody should doubt the meaning behind the motive of this article,

It does bring out those brainwashed mindset of some Indians.

The more they believed in such a wet dream, war will not be too far

ahead of us.

Don't believe me? just go to some Indians defence forum, threads like

this one were discussed on a daily bases, last time i read was how to

nuke and destroy Pakistan and than fight China. :smitten:
:pakistan::china:

^^^ Greyboy.....please dont add fuel to the fire.....statements like the above are unnecessary especially since not a single member here advocates war unless its imposed upon his/her nation.....referencing other defence forums does not add credibility to your statements....your own country has some glaring examples of war mongerers....so please lets not generalize

The article does not have any subliminal implications or hidden meaning...so again refrain from adding to the article based on your biases....

in the article, it does not say to fight both of them at the same time, but it's talking about defending. read the article carefully.

btw, also it's funny, how Pakistan ppl keep reminding India lost war with china, BUT they forget their own country war with India.

Peshwa.

The following statement generated interest for me.

Thus far, I am not seeing any move from IA toward a NATO/Chinese/Russian style of Battle-groups at either the Battalion or the Brigade level. The current IA Regimental/Divisional OrBat is based on the a time honored British system and it performs well. However, the "reworked" Cold start doctrine calls a highly mobile battle-groups as the basic building block. Lets see how is the develops.

In the article, it speaks of lessons learned from the recent American exp, again, the cold start doctrine even at its current form does not address post-war management. It will be great if any forum members can how GOI is planning for it. At this point, it is a generally accepted wisdom that US handled its post-war management rather poorly.

There is much we don't know about this new doctrine, lets wait and see.

Hi Xinhui....

Can you please elaborate on what interests you regarding the quote in your post?....Im unclear on your question...

Regarding the highlighted portion:

You are correct that the cold start doctrine fails to highlight "post war" scenarios....but what it does mention is that cold start is a "limited" war scenario where quick and overwhelming thrusts into the the enemy territory to secure key enemy areas to use as bargaining chips once ceasefire is called or when international powers and agencies intervene.....
Unlike the US post war scenarios, India does not intend to occupy enemy territory for long period of times except to accomplish its objectives.....as has been done in previous wars India participated in...

Please do note that India holds pieces of land that other neighboring nations lay claim to....not the other way around....so in most probable cases, India will NOT be the aggressor, but will be defending its land....using thrusts (offensive) into enemy territory to open up new theatres of war to lessen pressure on its attacked areas....

The thing is they can win a war with a country 5 times smaller than it but when it comes to a country their own size, they get their a$$ handed back to them.

I assume that you are an old man n the 90s who saw every atrocities by the Indian govt.

Question here is not the age but the knowledge about facts as they unfolded in the past 60 years.

Let us refrain from talk about the age or things personal.
