India is expanding its footprint across the Southeast and East Asia

"While India has strong strategic and economic ties with Japan and South Korea and its relations with Australia are growing..."

???

Indians do like make fool of themselves。

Indians are treated like trash in Australia。That's well documented by Indians themselves。

As for Japan and South Korea,India is portraited in their TV dramas as a country going where is akin to being handed a death sentence。

The best way to learn how you are viewed by others is to watch their TV soap operas。

Indians need to learn Japanese and South Korean to know how they are held in complete contempt by the people of their so-called “strategic partners”。

Shameless and ignorant people。

Influence my azz!:omghaha:

You can base your self image on how people think of you. That's weak, mental slavery that you seem to be good at.

Unlike you, WE don't look at other cultures to view ourselves- we are confident enough not to do so.

Best of luck.

ASEAN, China to become top trade partners

The members of the Association of Southeast Asian Nations will together become China's top trading partners within the next three years, a trade organization predicted on Wednesday.Last year, ASEAN overtook Japan to become China's third-largest trading partner, having $362.3 billion in trade with the country, up 24 percent from a year earlier.

China had $446.6 billion in trade with the United States in 2011 and $567.2 billion with the EU in the same year.

China's trade is increasing rapidly with emerging economies at a time that it is slowing down with developed countries.

Data from the Ministry of Commerce show that the value of trade between China and the EU increased by 2.6 percent year-on-year in the first quarter of 2012, and trade with Japan declined by 1.6 percent in the same period. Trade between China and ASEAN increased by 9.2 percent in the first quarter.

"China's trade with ASEAN will increase faster than with the US and EU, and ASEAN is likely to become China's largest trading partner in the coming years," said He Weiwen, co-director at the China-US-EU Study Center at the China Association of International Trade.

He attributed the trade momentum between China and ASEAN to the country's increasing imports from the Southeast Asian bloc.

Yuan tipped to replace the dollar

In 2010, China signed an Asean-China Free Trade Area agreement with the six original Asean members and accounted for 11.3% of Asean’s total trade, compared with 9.1% for the US. Last year, Asean overtook Japan to become China’s third-largest trade partner, behind the European Union and the United States.

Driven by market demand, the volume of trade between China and Asean is expected to exceed $500 billion by 2015, the year in which Cambodia, Laos, Myanmar and Vietnam will join the preferential trade agreement.

Bolstering trade between the two regions indicates a growing economic interdependence and the likelihood that the yuan could replace the greenback and the euro in trade, financial and money-exchange dealings throughout Asean, which has a combined GDP of
$1.8 trillion.

China-ASEAN trade to hit US$500 billion
Bilateral trade between China and the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN) will reach $500 billion in 2015, Chinese Vice Minister of Commerce Gao Yan forecast at a press conference on Tuesday.

According to the Ministry of Commerce (MOC), China-ASEAN bilateral trade has surged in the past decade, from $54.77 billion in 2002 to US$400.1 billion in 2012, with an average annual growth rate of 22 percent.

The first half of 2013 saw a year-on-year growth of 12.2 percent in China-ASEAN trade that totaled US$210.56 billion, the MOC said.

As ASEAN's biggest trade partner, China kept a trade surplus of US$8.5 billion in 2012 in its trade with the 10-nation group and pledged to increase imports from ASEAN.

By the end of June, Chinese direct investment in ASEAN countries totaled nearly $30 billion, and direct investment from the ASEAN toward China exceeded $80 billion, according to the MOC.

Gao said China will further join hands with the ASEAN to carry out the free trade agreement as the China-ASEAN free trade area was established on January 1, 2010.

The 10th China-ASEAN Expo will be held September 3-6 in south China's Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region, including a celebration of the 10th anniversary of China-ASEAN partnership.
