They compares Numbers and not the quality.

Yes...but if the gap in quantity is that high.....the gap in quality would need to be high enough to counter your disadvantage.....and AFAIK India does not have alien ray-guns and plasma weapons!

.
Dude, any sane Indian knows that.

Don't take hyper media and few posters as reflection of all Indians.

You have to forgive him. I respect your views. But sometimes, it feel like your views do not reflect the majority of Indians in here. Maybe the majority of Indians, but not the majority of Indian members here.

Sorry Duby difference in not that High. Pl look at the chart. They have mentioned JF 17 as Chinese fighter. In fact China do not operate JF 17. They do not have anything World class in their plane arsenal except SU 30 MKK which are very inferior to SU 30 MKI.

We have ray gun called KALI. Read it.

Why do people always do a mathematical comparison between India and China? Do these guys who dish out such stuff know what 'threat analysis' is all about? A country builds its military power based on this analysis.

China has many 'fronts' to contend with - The US of A, Russia, Japan, Taiwan, Vietnam, India, the littoral states bordering the South China Sea, the Asia Pacific region, and so on. India has two adversaries only - China and Pakistan.

It is therefore natural that China would have larger forces to deal with such multifarious threats compared to India. It's not as if the Chinese would pull out all their forces from all fronts and deploy them against India in the event of war.

So such comparisons are meaningless.

But your India number include subs under test. Weapons under test should not count. Otherwise, Russia and China can claim that they have 5th generation fighters.

We won't mind if J20 is considered against PAKFA or FAGFA.

TU Apni Dekh....We will take care of yourself.

Who the hell are you to tell him who to "dekh" and not to?
I suggest all keep from dragging Pakistan into this thread or face the consequences.

These are planes under test. They are not use for combat. Actually, even the flying coffin counts more as its a plane under service. These are just test planes.

Chinese power based on mass production, mass mobilisation ,mass destruction...

Hi Guys,

Se we follow different philosophy. Our policy is defensive one. So you will find more tanks with china but we have world's best anti tank missiles in huge numbers. China has more planes but we have superb air defense. What ever offensive you find with India is actually counter offense only e.g strike corps. If we face any attack, mark my word that enemy will face a disproportionate damage.

China always had massive army.but that doesn't mean they fight likewise.plus the report is so wrong.China has some 1500 aircraft and a huge amount of them are 3rd gen.many of them are in reserve.

for those who thinks better weapons means better performance in battle, should look into "Battle of Yellow River".

as for India's capability vis a vis China's,India has enough to protect itself.period.

India is years behind the Chinese military with the Communist neighbour currently outnumbering the country’s combat power by a 3:1 ratio, a defence ministry document has revealed.

India hopes to bridge the gap in the next 15 years by improving its fighting capacity with new stealth jets, aircraft carriers, nuclear-powered submarines, warships and land-based strike formations.

The document, accessed by Hindustan Times, predicts the picture will change by the end of the 14th Plan period (2022-27), with India narrowing the gap in combat power with China to a “desirable ratio” of 1.5:1.

The dynamics of combat power encompass elements such as a military’s firepower, mobility, logistic capability, manpower and sustainability — factors that ultimately determine the outcome of a war.

Strategic affairs expert air vice Marshal Kapil Kak (retd) said the “desirable combat ratio” appeared to be achievable.

Steps taken by India to counter China’s military build-up have led to a marginal improvement in the relative-force ratio, the document shows.

The setting up of two new infantry divisions in 2010 in the northeast has lowered China’s combat advantage to a “2.7:1 ratio”. Odds, however, are still stacked against the army.

In a land battle, an army can only defend against an attacking force three times its strength,” a former chief said.

The raising of a new mountain strike corps — with 85,000 soldiers — to defend Arunachal Pradesh is expected to further reduce the Chinese military advantage to a ratio of 2.1:1 by end of the 13th Plan Period (2022).

The new strike formation will give the army the capability to mount offensive action into the Tibet Autonomous Region.

Experts warn China is expected to step up efforts to transform its military to retain an edge over India. China’s official defence budget for 2013-14 stands at Rs. 5,94,000 crore, compared to India’s Rs. 2,03,672 crore.

However, China’s actual military spending may be higher, with experts suspecting dramatic under reporting of its defence expenditure.

Our power is based in quality production, scattered mobilization and high value target destruction.

That is why you find those long range missile with double digit accuracy (Agni V) and IRBM with Zero error and Huge load (K series) . Missile like Brahmos which can hit any target without any risk of being intercepted etc. etc.

This is weird from Indian members, I never understood it. Nobody I talked to in Canada, US ever considering buying Indian the same as buying American or European.

India doesn't produce quality.

India is not a developed country it's technology is actually worse than China, but for some reason, so many Indian members seems to think their tech is superior just because the Americans laugh at our quality.

Guess what, Americans being the sole super power could laugh at us. India is neither developed nor a great power. What the Americans can do, India can't.

and India has Geographic advantage. They are already the strongest in sub continent.
That is diffrent in Far East.

And between china and india ,Himalayas mountain will always be there as barrier.
