What's new

India Developing, but still a long way to go

Boom! Shaka-La-Ka ;)

So bits-&-pieces are on to the next level, so far so good.
The rest will catche up el-rapido, they are doing glass-&-concrete-on-steel, not Taj Mahal.
Machines, the age of machines! And decent semi-skilled and tech. skilled folks too.

:wtf: ...

A pillion rider leads a horse on a crossing in New Delhi. With the onset of the wedding season, horses are in high demand in India. (Never mind he's jumping the red lights re: green walk sign)

Not really. Marine drive is still the same. There is no scope further developments in this area unless the existing low rise buildings are demolished to make way for the tall ones

Those 'low-rise' buildings house some of the world's who's who. Top industrialists. Bollywood types.
Software tycoons, Bankers.CNN's Fareed Zakaria and India top Tata & other Parsi Co.'s/MNC lawyer Zia Mody, Salman Rushdie ( last not sure) etc.

$hitting bricks is easier then ... haha ... demolishing said low rises. :agree:

They will have to go somewhere else eventually.

Nice one mate! So Bombardier lost out to a Japanese company?

+apparenly the Corridor is AHEAD of schedule! This project is going to have HUGE ramifications and is going to add to GDP for sure!

There's also the southern Chennai-Bangalore Corridor which has got the in-principle nod and is in the initial stages....Chances are high that Hyd and Trivandrum/kochi will be linked.... This project will provide a balanced north-south growth.

Hope the Gawhars who run the government invest more on infrastructure over the next 10 years . We need more DFCs , expressways, Sezs , Airports and hospitals.

Most important of all, skewed development should not take place. The government should not neglect north-central and north- east India.
